Yep. GameCube 2, comeback, returns, vendetta. A console focused on Nintendo games. X, Yoshi's Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Frezze, Super Smash Bros U, Mario Kart 8, Zelda Wii U and more unnanounced projects, like a possible Sunshine/Galaxy succesor by the same Koizumi's team (already hinted another project).

Now Nintendo fans, let's just let it go. Wii U will sell around GameCube numbers if it's lucky, 20-22m, but we need to make it an active userbase just like the old days, which it isn't happening right now looking at the terrible software numbers and what in pirnciple throw us at this situation.

Are you ready for an amazing Metroid made by Retro? Will you play the next rushed Zelda? Will Sega make another F-Zero?


See my sig - I have called this almost a year before the launch of Wii U. We have a Gamecube 2 on our hands. It will do slightly better than GCN, because of the strenght of the Wii brand, but that will be all. This gen looks to be a repeat of the Sony PS2 domination with XO and Wii U fighting for the second place just like Xbox and GCN did.

@Bold - keep on pumping big time games, forget about the casuals being your main market and make/buy more core titles, so that everyone sees Wii U as the mandatory second console. They have to get the core gamers interested in their games, which means Metroid Prime 4, a mature, dark Zelda, X, Bayo 2, probably another shooter and a new RPG.
But most importantly - cut the price!! Nintendo can't cost more than $249. If I saw a Wii U for $250 or 200 Euro, I'd buy it in an instance, especially with the new Mario Kart coming. But for 300 Euro? Yeah... Thanks but I can wait. PS3 and Vita are much more exciting at the moment, let alone adding another 100 Euro and getting a PS4.



Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

The Gamecube was cheap and delivered some of the best graphics of its gen. It didn't sold because the idea of a purple box wasn't that appealing for the older audience and the small disc size meant less multiplats.

The Wii U is a very different console, relatively speaking, and has its own set of problems. Besides sales, the two aren't really comparable IMO.

Wii U doesn't have the insurmountable problems DC faced, like crippling piracy, and unlike Sega, Nintendo has some of the strongest IPs in the industry.

I hope they don t go that route but with all the negativity around its hard to see a future for the Wii U. Besides it even sold less than the Dreamcast in certain weeks, the Wii U isn t getting better it just keeps getting worse.

I'd wait until January before making judgement calls about its future. Sales have picked up some, the holiday is coming, and 3D World is getting a lot of  praise.

Sure, it seems depressing now, but so did PS3 and 3DS in their early days. I remember people predicting the PS3's discontinuation by 2009.

Well it might be that I wasn t around the forums at that time so I never experienced that kind of negativity but damn, its getting really bad for the Wii U lately xD.

I hope that Nintendo recovers from this. I will enjoy the system whatever the outcome is though. As long as they keep the games coming I m good xD.

Yeah, if the  system comes third in sales but has amazing games, I'll be happy.

Four days....

I don't know what is so difficult about this.  It came out Thursday and the tracking week is through Sunday.  Yet all day people have continually posted the wrong number.  Pretty sure I have seen people say one, two, or three days all more often than four.

I agree, all this negativity is making me depress - hence why I leave these forums from time to time. I think it is better to disconnect yourself from the console war and enjoy what is in front of you.
