They're probably saving them for Black Friday.

But there are two issues here right?

What about people who have pre-ordered... surely they will be prioritised over shelf, and for that reason, stock comes in/out straight away (or is shipped).. so the the normal joe won't see that stock. Then Sony/MS will try and get the rest of the stock on the shelves.

If you suddenly see lots of stock on shelves before Xmas, I think you can accept that the pre-orders have been cleared and now its just stock coming in.

Anyone who works for the stores know how they are handling that (I've ordered from Amazon and getting it Friday but I am interested in how this is working :)

my gamestop manager was fairly certain that they would get a shipment of both PS4 and XB1 before Black Friday

Do u really think sony will wait 4/5 months to deliver new shipments of PS4 to their most competetive region?! obv not

Target did 8 preorders per store, and held all copies until they were picked up by whoever reserved them. The rest are fair game.

Every store is getting re-supplied and will likely sell out well into Christmas and probably a little into the next year for both PS4 and XBO I actually think with Super Mario 3D World being as stellar a game as it is, that the Nintendo Wii U might also find itself in high demand... enough to dry up some of that supple. Especially with all the excellent bundles Nintendo has available (Console + Zelda, Console + Mario, etc)

Ah ok, so that Target store all good and fine. Wondering about the Gamestop type stores where they said they had many more pre-orders.... and the anyone who pre-ordered after august type situations... 

I guess I better be swift as a lightning on Amazon should a PS4 deal pop up.

I think I can add to one cart and close the deal in perhaps 20-30 seconds - I hope that's enough.

(I just decided on a whim I want one under the christmas tree, so yeah)

There will definitely be shipments coming in, Sony needs to prioritise getting stock into the US since that is the most competitive region (and probably the UK)

I would guess there would be something like another 500k-1m coming to the US this year
