The game is pretty, the game is bloody, the game is a big X1 exclusive, alot of people probably bought a X1 for that game thus have a large confirmation bias, they're still completely caught up in launch hype....these are all reasons why those gamer reviews are completely worthless at the moment. Same with Knack, where people are also saying it's actually really good...wait 2 more years and then look back at Ryse or Knack and you're probably going to wonder what you thought was amazing about these games.

Right now you have nothing but people trying to justify their 400-500 $ console purchases by making these launch games into more then they really are.

Sorry disagree. Its one of the best games Ive played since Halo 4. Im not justifying anything. Im a Forza nut. And Ive played Forza for 10 mins. That says everything. Ryse is a fantastic cinematic experience. With Voice acting, Visuals and emotion unmatched in console gaming yet from my experience.

Ryse was doomed from them moment that showed it at e3 this year. People made up their minds right there and then. Once the general public forms a consensus it is hard to get people to change their minds. It wouldn't matter if the game turned out to be brilliant, the "qte game" narrative had already been formed in peoples heads.

Anyway there is no point arguing anymore with you guys. If you think all reviews are wrong and Ryse is better than TLOU (95meta) and Uncharted (UC2 96meta) then Ryse deserves 98 meta and I dont have any place here.

I think some people just don't want to enjoy the game. It uses buttons a little differently - I think it was just too different for some reviewers.

I agree, and my friends even my PS friends, it's a neat and fun game.

I only played a little on my friends house.
While it is really beautiful and far better than the PS4 flopgame (Knack), i found it really boring (gameplay and story wise). A 6 out of 10 sounds about right, but if you like the genre and want to get X1 now, you could try it.

It does have the best grapichs of the PSXONE launch.

Hm, yea, these are pretty much exactly the kind of impressions I expected from DirtyP and Selnor and we will probably get very similar sounding ones from ethomaz and Turkish, once they have their PS4s.

Ofcourse I'm glad you guys are enjoying what you got and I don't doubt you do, yet I'm more interested in impressions that not only say "everything is perfect", but manage to identify and explain the flaws (there always are some), because usually I'm somebody who notices flaws and I feel better about those if I knew them prior to my purchase.

Im reviewing the game currently. When Im done Im posting it here on VGC. There are some flaws. But I dont think the game being a heavily cinematic experience should be a flaw. Some people like those games. Some dont. For those who dont theres games out there for you. Its like a FPS fan saying Lost Odyssey is a 2/10. Doesnt mean it shouldnt be made because he/she doesnt like JRPG's.

The game is clear what it is. And it suceeds at that very well.

Yeah, sorry but your behaviour in the last couple months or actually years has given me no reason to even consider your opinion, someone that has thrown the words "the best I've ever experienced" around so often in connection with the X1 and has so often shown complete disregard of everything possibly negative about the system and its games, does quite honestly not deserve to be taken into account.

Seriously if there ever was a guy on this site where it wouldn't surprise me if he was on the paylist of one of these companies, it would be you, cause talking to you is as useful in finding the right console for yourself as talking to a MS executive. I'm not accusing you of course, just saying that you don't have to be surprised if people don't take you seriously.
