I am lucky as one of my good friends actually works on small PC games doing modeling and design. He has great insights about the mechanics of games. He tends to favor PC as his field of familiarity. We discussed "The Stanley Parable" recently and how to create choice in games using the tools at your disposal by challenging gamer expectations.

I honestly only have one friend who plays CoD and he is not really into it, much more an MMO guy.

Oh nono, I don't lack friends "on the same wave length", I just can't have gaming dicussions with them ;)

Friend: "FIFA is different every  time, the passes are better, the other players (AKA "AI") move more and are smarter, and most importantly they update every team" Me: "They could just do that through updates, or making the game online-only but waaaaaay cheaper" Friend: "Yeah, like that would work... Besides, you bought every Pokemon, and that's even kiddy" (He probably thought he got me) Me: "I'm just as guilty as you are, and like I said before, I buy stuff because I like it not because I need other people acceptance in what I do" And he shuts up. What happened? Well, I've come to the conclusion that teens think everything they do is correct, and that they're egocentric narcisists and fucking assholes my best friends and I shouldn't talk to them about gaming like... ever.

TL; DR

Teens think they're never wrong and can't accept others opinions/thoughts.

Interestingly, I have an oral test tomorow about teen's intelectual development, actions and mind...

Most adults are like that too unfortunately.

There's actually a whole school class in my school with 30 students where 25 of them (give or take a few) play pokemon. I don't complain.

High school in Norway. Your expenses are covered and classes are spent playing pokemon (or candy crush saga, depends on what camp your in).

Like I said, we never talk about gaming exactly because of these reasons, and they know that I hate them. But I hate and love everybody ;)

And we usually are dicks to each other because we're bros! That friendship will never seperate.
