Zappykins said: I saw Capitan America: Winter Soldier. I like it very much. I didn't think it was as good as the first 75% of the first Capitan America movie (I actually thought that was awesome. Then it looked like they ran out of ideas and just make it action.) Unfortunately, though, most every theatre here is DLP (Digital Layer Projection) a system developed by Texas Instruments for cheap projections. And cheap, yes it is, it flickers and flashes and why I mostly stopped going to the cinema. I did see The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug but in 2D at home. I really like it (he is my favorite Tolkien character). How did you all like in the cinema?

Both I and other people posted our review of the Hobbit 2 on the 3D Movies of 2013 Thread:
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=154457
Anyways it's strengths were the first movie's weakness and vice-versa. (The Hobbit 2)
And from reading other people's reviews, well everyone loved the 3D in the second movie (The Hobbit 2), even though the only people who liked the 3D effect in the first movie (The Hobbit 1) were us people who saw it in either IMAX 3D or HFR IMAX 3D.
At the end, I wish I didn't see the first 2 movies by paying for them. (The Hobbit 1 & 2)
Still look forward to paying to see the 3rd Hobbit movie (The Hobbit 3) in 96 refresh rate (48 fps high frame rate per image) IMAX 3D.
I don't think they do DLP in AMC and theaters like that. I see movies in Rave Theaters most the time and they use DLP, but I only see flickering when wearing 3D glasses during 2D Trailers. I think they might be reducing the flickering as of late, but I could be wrong. Plus I always see movies with 4K Digital Projectors and usually in Premium Large Format 3D, at that.
