Yet another interesting review. But I'm skipping to MK8 personally.

Understandable so close before release. I mean I liked MK 7 still a lot but 8 looks still like a much better game with more track variety. At least it has more potential to do so....

MK8 is basically MK7 but more and better, so yeah. :L

What gives it the edge is the gravity......unlimited track variety in theory!

Indeeds! HD + Anti-Gravity = most epic Rainbow Road ever!!!

While the term should be taken with a pinch of salt concerning a Mario Kart game, I honestly feel it is in fact the most balanced Mario Kart game to date. That's considering I bought the game post-patch, however.

But for some reason, I dunno, I don't think I've had as much fun with it as MKDS, even though that games online infrastructure was barebones as all hell, 4 players maximum, missing tracks, and more often than not, turned into a clusterfuck of maintaining PRBs/counterpicking snakers with Rainbow Road.

Maybe part of me really, really wanted to have Vanilla Lake or Bowser's Castle from SMK in the game. I swear to God, if MK8 uses Mario Circuit 4 over both of them...

Then you'll still buy MK8!
Also, something is clearly wrong with you if you're having more fun with DS's online than 7's. You should go get yourself checked out!

Lol who knows, maybe it's just the inner-masochist inside me talking.

But honestly, the SNES Mario Circuit tracks used to be my favorite by a landslide, but hot damn Nintendo, way to beat a dead horse.

So again, IF Mario Circuit 4 makes it in, INSTEAD of Vanilla Lake and SNES Bowser's Castle...

Something is wrong with him, if he thinks that Mario Kart DS is better than 7 at anything.

I completely conceded that 7 is the better game sir.

Relax! They'll have to remake those tracks like all others eventually!

I know. But.. I'd still like it to catch a break for one game. XD. That being said, I wonder how the track distribution will work out in MK8, 3 N64 tracks in 7 seemed just a little bit unnecessary IMO.

i'll wait for the review of 8

It was likely to get them outta the way so they have better tracks to choose from for MK8! lol yeah idk. Though unfortunately for MK8, I feel MK7 may have started a new trend with having SNES Rainbow Road, meaning MK8 will have the god awful N64 Rainbow Road. Still, the current trend of 4 tracks from the last 2 games should still be a thing, which is great as MK7 and MKWii had lot's of great tracks. Plus who knows we may get additional cups!

I was wondering the same thing, but I wasn't sure if I was being too optimistic. Even then, what would they be? Cat-goomba and Ice flower cups?

I don't think N64 Rainbow Road was terrible per se, but I have noticed how much glory it gets over some of the others. Hopefully it'll be part of a DLC pack for the long speculated Rainbow cup. Is there a thread on here for MK8 retro track predictions?

It's definitely too optimistic so I wouldn't be expecting or hoping for it. Also, Coin Cup, Bomb-omb Cup, Hammer Cup, Mega Mushroom Cup, Boomerang Cup, Chain-Chomp Cup, etc. Lot's of possibilitys!

As for a thread, none that I'm aware of.
