Forums - Nintendo - Of all the Nintendo games you´ve ever played, which is the very best one?

Donkey Kong Country 2 remains my favorite game of all time.

Super Mario Galaxy is a close second.

SSBM and SM64 are the two I'm debating between right now.

Super Mario 64

Y'all need to tell us why said game is your favorite. Don't just name them!

OT - Super Mario World

Prime 2: IMO the best Metroid game. Awesome difficulty, sweet bosses, neat atmosphere that is truly unique in the Metroid universe. And overall just the coolest stuff: Annihilator beam, light suit, etc.

or

Wind Waker: I loved sailing, and the world just felt so open and alive. Best hub town in the series as well as some of the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen. Music was dope.

or

Super Mario Galaxy: This game just felt so damn fresh. I was blown away by every level in this game. Graphically it was stunning, gameplay wise it was flawless, and the innovation in every level was just wow. I actually liked galaxy 2 a bit more, but galaxy at the time was just orgasmic.

Honorable Mention: Pikmin 3

pokemon. It was awesome watching it on tv then playing the game and making associations between the two.
Then it stopped coming on TV and i realised how shallow the game was by itself and never played it again...

My personal top Nintendo games are between The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (at the time, the exploration was simply massive, along with much improved gameplay from the original, not to mention I wasn't really a fan of The Adventure of Link), Super Mario Bros. 3 (graphics were pretty damn good compared to its cohorts, and I liked the non-linearity), and Earthbound (one of the first games, along with Final Fantasy VI, that got me into console RPGs).

Galaxy 2

Majora's Mask

The Last Story and Xenoblade.

TLS is Nintendo IP and XB is first party.

After that pretty much any first party game on SNES.
