You are a goddamn casual.

I believe most casuals already knew about it so he's way below casual status.

all Nintendo handhelds are backwards compatibale (except the original Gameboy, for obvious reasons).

DSi and DSi XL arent, neither is the Game Boy Micro

Ultra casual status.

Anyway, I always assumed it was (being that my original DS lite could play GBA) so it made sense. But I never actually looked up to confirm it because I didn't want one. Factor that I'm not a big Nintendo fan...

I think I'll get one sometime next year. The main 3ds games that are absolutley MUST have for me would probably be Pokemon X/y, Zelda, animal crossing (to see what the fuss is about) but I'm mainly interested in the Ds games.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

the Wii U is also backward compatible!

Mario Galaxy and Xenoblade look great when played on a Wii U with an HD TV.

Not on my HDTV!  They looke the same.  Unlike the PS3/360, the Wii U doesn't upscale standard definition games.  They're still blurry as heck on a decent sized set.  I play Wii games on a 19 inch LCD (or the Wii U game pad) to avoid the problem.

Stay away from the Advance Wars games or we'll never see you again. Both are among my top five games played on my 3DS--beating out all of my actual 3DS games.

Dual Strike is a gem, but Dark Conflict is just plain horrible.

Why?

Regular DS games on the 3DS look washed out. You can hold select while opening the game for the original size, but it's 40% smaller than the screen size. So 3DS XL will be 3DS screen size. Regular 3DS screen size will be even smaller.

Unbalanced gameplay to the point of being broken, that's why. The perfect levels of Dual Strike are nowhere to be seen in Dark Conflict.
