The Xbox One opening week is in the US is expected to fall just shy of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 launched with 1.06 million units in the US, while the Xbox One is expected to sell around 900,000 units. However, the Xbox One is also launching in more countries.  Xbox One worldwide launch sales are expected to reach between 1.2 and 1.5 million units.

Considering it's only releasing in a few EU countries and how less popular Xbox is in Europe bar UK, I don't find it surprising.

Plus, MS probably decided to prioritize the US, they need that market if they want to stay relevant.

It look like both consoles sold very well lol are people who thing consoles will be dead because of Tablet and smartphone.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

i find 1.06 million to be a little hard to believe when they sold OVER 1 million in just 24hrs.
1.06 million seems like it could be the over 1 million in the 24hr period. seems like 1.2 million would be closer to what it sold over the weekend.

That was just Friday and Saturday as Sunday was the beginning of the new week.

The 1m figure is for NA. Canada is about 10% of the US so 1.06m in the US should be about 1.17m in NA.
