Cool info, thanks for the post. These stats effect me little, so it sounds about normal to me. I will most likely have my X1 in standby mode as to utilize Kinect when needed. I wonder how much power standby consumes if Kinect is turned off in the sub-menu for those who will use it less.

I see it as more MS being an American company and Sony being Japanese. When it comes to consuming power or energy I get the impression Americans don't give a toss. I could be wrong of course this is just me.

This would have absolutely no impact on US sales. In Europe where the people like to talk "green" maybe, I don't know.

Last time around Greenpeace made headlines about the HD consoles not being green enough and no one really listened.

Xbox One's standby power consumption is just scary!

Even PS4's 8.5W seem way too much, but over 15W in standby? That's almost as much as my whole computer (without monitor) consumes - turned on!

I wonder how much lower Xbone's power consumption in standby is if Kinect is completely deactivated?!?

1 minute boot? Kinda like a modern PC. My Surface Pro boots in 8 seconds with its SSD drive and my old ass desktop PC with HDD boots in 4 minutes.

My modern PC boots in 15 seconds. Uses Windows 8

the power consumption in standby wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for that 1m start up time tho, like the concept that you have to wait over a min or waste electricy doesn't sit well with me. I wonder if they tested it without Kinect attached in standby would it use less power? since that is obviously going to have some power going down the cables to the kinect mic waiting to hear Xbox power on. Can you still turn on the system by picking up the controller and pressing the X button on it?
