83 sounds "bad" but isn't that the second best score after resogun? next gen reviews have been too harsh imo. reviewing against expectations not against the actual game.

Frankly i dont really see how anyone can call games over 70 "bad" its rediculous.

well that is why i put bad in quotes.   the last couple of years reviewers were really only used 6(0) and up as part of their review scores so anything less than 8(0) was actually a bad game.  on this batch of next gen games i've seen as low as 3(0) on knack which (what my friend tells me from his play) is a "decent" game.

i'd prefer reviewers use the full 10 point scale but these reviews seem inconsistent with what we were getting just a few months ago.  83 might be the worst score for a forza but from what i've seen i don't think it is the worst forza.  ...i think i phrased that right.

Forza 5 or how we use a great franchise to get the most bucks out with microtransaction (and don´t forget Ryse!!!).
Shocking, that most sites don´t include this aspect in their reviews...

I´m sticking to Sony who sees himself not so kingly and shares free maps in Killzone 4 :)))

And puts microtransactions into GT6 :)))

Still no in Killzone :)))))

you know the review-system is broken when Eurogamer gives it a 7/10 and Eurogamer Italy gives it a 9/10

...Probably cause they have different opinions/different people reviewing the game. I know, crazy.

Launch games are always judged with more harshness. But there has been three Forza games in less than five years, maybe the series is suffering from faiigue a little,

I am disapointed,i was really expecting the series to live up to its name and remain 85+ on meta but reading trough the reviews that drivatar stuff seems the way to go forward and invest like crazy in forza 6.
Next up is Ryse.

I didn't get the impression that Drivatar was the way to go forward from Eurogamer

Online racing in Forza Motorsport 5 is fierce, combative and, thanks to the lack of an effective penalty system, a little frustrating. Now, thanks to the Drivatar system, the same is true of offline racing too.

In principle, it's a smart idea - while you're playing, your behaviour is recorded, assembled and then uploaded to the cloud, from which an avatar is seeded and competes on your behalf (and from which you can earn credits when not actively playing yourself). In practice, it's a backwards step, with erratic AI contributing to offline events that feel like an ill-mannered online scuffle where racing etiquette is thrown out the window.

Why have just the one braking point when you can have two? And why not have a quick dab of the brake in the middle of a straight? The unpredictable driving of others creates too many needless scraps - it's a good thing that Forza's rewind feature is intact, though it's a shame you have to put into use so many times because of the AI. The data that's in there is pooled from a good number of players, pulled from Turn 10 and Microsoft - so you'd have thought it'd be of a reasonable quality. There's the potential for it to improve over time, but right now the Xbox One's heavily touted cloud rains down a thunderstorm of idiocy.

How is the offline AI? Did anyone review that?

That echos my concerns when they talked about it months ago.

I like how Eurogamer criticise the lack of content but yet they gave prologue a higher score which pretty much had 30 cars at release and about 8 tracks....

Well GT5Prologue doesnt pretend to be a full game and charge full price also. It is a taster/introduction for the full release of GT5 and it retailed for $30.

But ki is free and its getting hitvfor lack of content lol

Probably because it has 6 CHARACTERS. 6. CHARACTERS. The game was rushed, hard.

Like I said before, it's fine as a launch game, people can't expect games with the same amount of content when there's limited amount of time create those games, the second wave of games should be better. Congratz xbox fans for another good game.

What? Are you telling me Mr. Eurogamer doesn't exist and ordinary people bring the reviews? Noooo!

And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I like these posts.  Some of the best posts on forums that largely go ignored xD
