He doesnt lie, they said it this month , they are going to pay a lot to buy games this generation, they love to do that and they dont see the problem.

And what exactly is the problem?

A lack of brand awareness. Lack of franchise certainty. Zero creativity as a branch.

Okay, but they've also opened new studios. If they were solely buying up games I'd understand where you are coming from but that's not the case.

Ugh... so glad a lot of this gets further discussed in the XBO Nation thread... Can't have good announcement news without bashing.

OT: I cannot wait to hear what's in store from them. E3 brought the games and I'm looking forward to a lot of diversity. Give me a 3D platformer (Banjo), for the love of all that is Holy... give me Lost Odyssey 2, or a spiritual successor. Hell any JRPG. Also interested in the other games that were announced such as Sunset Overdrive, Black Tusk, and especially Quantum Break.

I'd say that a new Banjo Kazooie is a given, especially now that Rare has 3 seperate dev teams. I've also seen alot of people hoping that Rare will make a new Perfect Dark, that's a definite possibility as well. A new JRPG from Mistwalker is a possibility, they haven't released or announced anything since 2012, they're certainly up to something secret. And of course Micosoft Studios Osaka could be working on a JRPG (man I hope so).

I've seen this a few times, does Rare really have 3 teams? I thought they were pretty small, do you have a source?

And I can't wait to see what Osaka is working on!

They've opened up new studios, but its Microsoft and their new studios have no track record. I guess its easy to be impressed when you believe in a brand. I cannot wait to see what they have to offer though. As I said to someone before, I cannot wait to see what what Black Tusk has. If anyone of the companies needs brand awareness its Microsoft. Their OS functionality, Halo and Forza are the only things that speak commercially about them.

Why do you guys waste time defending MS and their extensive first party plus their massive financement power of third parties to get new IP exclusive when it matters (yeah getting something 3 years later is about as cool as watching a little league playoff replay on ESPN classic)
anyway the question you should ask, is if MS sucks so bad and Sony has so many great games and particularly 1st party exclusive, how is it they have so much time on their hand to comment here extensively if they live in NA... And even if they don't live there... How come they have so much time downplaying everything MS when there are so much to say and praise about Sony's amazing ground breaking line up of first party exclusives???

Sony fans are some petty haters, I gotta say it.
Gamespot X1 pre-launch is infested with bunch of haters trying to downplay everything they see on video and disrupt meaningful conversations.

Lol love the dig gif goatseye

I'm not impressed but I think they're putting more effort in 1st party than what people give them credit for. As for the rest of what you said I pretty much agree.

He most likely means 'Publishers' in general will have too many announcements. Since MS will spend most of E3 showing off all of their partners new products, they are going to have to be creative in how to showcase theirs. Don't forget, MS's new slogan is 'why create your own content when you can just pay a publisher to do it for you'

This is why i will not buy a xbox one(for now at least)....It's clear to me that MS will not invest in first parties again....They will focus on try to buy exclusive contents and exclusives third party games which is not the same thing because it can turn in multiplat anytime(Ninja Gaiden & Mass effect were once MS console exclusive,Final fantasy 13 and MGS were once PS exclusive,ETC..... )

Black Tusk
Osaka (Japanese studio)
Victoria (core studio)
Redmond (core studio)
Dakota (Project Spark)
Life London (Cloud XBLA games)

Isn't enough??

Lionhead, Rare and 343 all have solid 2nd teams now too.

I'm not sure who told me it but I was under the impression that MS has more studios than that. And that they in fact have the most studios out of all 3 console manufactorer.

The only thing to be cautious about is that a lot of them are unprozen yet but the fact that there is such a shift in resources towards first party developed contents is very promising. Sony did the same thing during the PS3 era and their outputs have been stellar.
