True, I think the main reason the WiiU did not took off is because almost everybody was expecting it to outperform the Xbox360 and Ps3 in some way. The PS4 versions of the launch games look a lot better than his PS3 counterparts, which gives the consumer a lot of confidence in the purchase.
Also, Dead Rising 3 is a smart move to MS, it looks so much coller than its predecessors, this is the right way to comunicate "next gen", well done.

However, the WiiU real appeal is the HD Nintendo games and the ocasional cool gamepad feature, when the install base grows thanks to the Nintendo games, we will see third party support rising. I hope Ubisoft get some love for sticking with the console, AC4 is on the WiiU and it is not selling that well so far

to be fair, alot of those late ports for WIi U didnt add anything significant. At least with the PS4/xone ports they look better and the general consensus among people is that they WILL be better, not alot say that for WIi U

There are cases where there really are reasons why they sell bad on Nintendo, but a lot of the times the reasons are overly exaggerated. The PS3 has had it's fair share of late/inferior ports and rarely do they do as bad as they do on Nintendo platforms. 3rd party games except for a few genres or a few exceptions do worse on Nintendo just like generally JRPS do worse on 360 than PS3. That audience just doesn't exist on Nintendo.
