Toronto Globe - Dead Rising - 10/10

This one boggles my mind...

Great scores overall and where I expected most to be, but how in the world does Dead Rising get rated as perfect? It could be incredibly fun (and most likely is), but it is not without plenty of flaws.

Either way, please carry on. Launch titles for XBone look to be very solid.

Not all review sites have a scale that 10 = perfect (hence there are lots of 10's out there) 10 just means an awesome game you should buy. Then you have GamrReview where 10 IS perfect, hence no game has come close to it. :)

So PS4 will have 2 games above 75, Xbox One will have several, gotcha!

Oh Seece. Back in full with your colors.

Not really. PS4 has a 75 and a 80 and that's all of note. You're comparing that to 1 75+, 3 possible 80's and a possible 90 and an unknown. hardly on par is it??

Yo're basing this on your assumption that Forza will perform the way it usually does. KZ didn't perform as high as it usually does. So who knows what could happen with Forza. I'm not arguing the XBO launch can be seen as better than the PS4 (personally, they're both about equal. As both have the same amount of games I want to play), but to say it does based on the assumption that yet unreviewed games will get faourable marks is silly at this point.

We'll see how this pans out. But if people feel both launches are lackluster, I don't think saying "this one is better" will change their mind. It's a valid point of view, and what you'll end up doing by playing with meta numbers like that is dick measuring. You're better than that.

Now this doesn't appy to you, but a quick trek through the recent threads about the PS4 will be an interesting exercise in the coming day.

They should use a Kotaku style rating system then.

Scores like that is why Metacritic is completely broken.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Nothing in this world is perfect........so should the 10/10 rating just never be awarded all together?

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

It looks like X1s launch line up is doing pretty decent except for lococycle and Crimson Dragon.

Its launch is going a bit more smoothly than the PS4 launch so far without Forza and Ryse

If I had to say I'd put Forza sub 90. They have an amazing track record and have shown a lot of the game though. I really would eat my hat if it scored sub 80.

I'm saying the Xbox One launch line up is better on paper, I don't expect it (or want it to) sway anyway. I'd still be buying Zoo Tycoon even if it got a 50 meta!

Not too surprised by the scores to be honest, after Killzone didn't deliver Microsoft receiving better scores was a given. And the delay of Driveclub didn't much help either, honestly PS4's launch lineup was pretty bad, they completely botched it.

Dead rising and killer instinct are doing well. Can't say much about the others.

I'm here for the fun of it. But yeah I agree with you, not least of all because Meta is so picky who they put on their site and weight websites secretly.

There are many different decent ways to review a game, hardly any do it tho :/

ONE wins where it counts so far.

Better games and a far better UI and integrated system.

I expect hardware reviews to follow software reviews and favour ONE.

ONE is simply a better and more coherent system with real next gen features.

Thanks.

Didin't take long... Why can't a middle aged man like you just appreciate his toys without feeling the need to take a jab at people who think differently, or at the stuff they don't favour?

I mean, at one point in time, wisdom shall kick in, right?
