PS: I don't understand what the last part of the article means. Those numbers seems like mumbo jumbo to me! Can anyone explain those?

I can, Somini :)  Xbo Gamediscs have several versions with each increasing number they changed the disc layout to make it harder to make copies of the disc.

What they have done now is to analyze how an Xbox One Gamedisc is structured (XG4 is the name for it). The numbers show so called offsets which tell you where several layers of data begin and end (offsets and size in bytes).

For more questions don't hesitate to ask.

this pretty much means nothing.... dumping a game disc is like saying he found keys in the street....

having that working on a real XB one is not going to happen any time soon just on how the VM works....

and well emulators... who the fuck uses a current gen console emulator ???? for that you need a more powerful rig than the one you emulate, what's the point then to DL a game that is available for DL illegally for PC anyway ???
it's like stealing diesel at the gas station when your car works on premium.... completely retarded....

and like last gen pretty sure playing online will be close to impossible with hacked XB one if it ever happens in the first place.... to me a hacked console now a day is completely worthless since the most important part of it is trunked (online/live/psn) if I want to play games offline only why would I bother with a jTaged console when PC is the best option for hacked games...

It's hacked and it's not even out yet lol. Has the Wii U even been hacked yet?

nothing has been hacked yet.... he just succesfully made an image (ISO file) of the disc.... in other word he did nothing....

any disc can be copied quiet easily from any platform....

the hard trick is to make it work on the hardware and that is not happening any time soon with the software VM and hardware relation on the XB one....

the WiiU has not been hacked (officially anyway, I don't have one but some report from eastern europe say it did, it's just not out in the open yet)  but the disc have been copied already....

I guess it ain't the same but it's still amazing but not surprising that people are trying this already. Xbox One will still likely be the first next gen console to be hacked anyway

Ah finally someone with the decensy and brains to answer my question lol. Thanks again.

What i wonder thought is where the hell did they get an xbox one game or system to do this kind of thing, no one has the console yet? Are hackers so good that they don't even need to have the system!!?

Well, if the games are in stores already, you know a friend who knows a guy who married a girl whose brother works at a store... What is not clear in this article is whether the structure is generic or changes with every game but I believe the latter one. Still nice effort from c4eva, as always.

But still keep in mind this doesn't mean in any way this is an open door for piracy. Could be, of course.

i hate hackers.

Of all the games, COD is the one they choose? With that said, this is why MS tried the always online approach. Their systems are easy(er) to hack and they lost the most money from piracy out of the big three last gen.
