Forums - Gaming Discussion - What were some of the most underrated games you enjoyed this Gen?

I also mean overlooked as well as underrated.

Just name off some of the most underrated/overlooked games of this gen for you. You can even just put in a quick sentence why you liked it, or not. I'm very curious to see your list, so maybe I pick of some of the missed gems of the gen.

Here's a list of mine:

Sleeping Dogs- Absolutely loved the setting, and gameplay. I loved driving and jumping from car to car in this game.

Eternal Sonata- Was a little annoyed by the "preaching," but if you can get over that, the gameplay is satisfying and it is a great game to look at, artisically.

Alice Madness Returns- This game got repetitive at times, but I loved the amount of creativity and different gameplay mechanics. The cards in the sky level was amazing!

Viva Pinata

Spider Man: Web of Shadows

Darksiders 2

Lost Odyssey- My favorite game of the gen. Loved so much about this game. The dream sequences had me tear up at times. Love me some turn based combat as well :D

I'm having trouble thinking of more, so list off some games at your own leisure.

Lock if re-posted.

Fatal Frame 4

This one is a true tragedy. It's one of the finest horror games I have ever had the pleasure of playing, yet it was never localized outside Japan.

At least, not officially; thanks to a group of fans,  you can download an English language patch. And if you have any affection at all for the genre, its well worth the trouble. It's exactly the kind of game the Wii needed more of; dark, disturbing, and well made.

Oh, and failing that, Project Zero 2: Wii Edition is a fine substitute/complement.

Third Birthday. The story was bad but entertaining in a videogamey sort of way (opposite of what parasite eve is though), but the gameplay was fun with a lot of interesting mechanics. Music was amazing.

Trails in the Sky. This is underrated by critics not fans (fans rate it quite highly). My favorite overall JRPG in last 10 years other than Persona 3 FES, and TWEWY.

Sly 4
great game.Made me wish to beat up several reviewers(those guys who rate the 45th sequel of the 749th always the same fps constantly 88% but downrating this game for lack of innovation etc)

kameo
Great game but low sales numbers.Don't know why boring, skillfree fable3 can sell 5 millions whilethis can't

blue dragon-by far best current gen rpg imo(must admitt:haven't played xenoblade),great story, great gameplay, nice design good graphics

All the Tales of games, I honestly don't know what the reviewers have against the games, they easily should be way higher than the reviews they got.

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition. Is really just an average game if I look at it objectively, but I enjoyed the hell out of that game.
