Forums - Gaming - What's The Best Deal You've Ever Got On Games?

So I recently got an amazing deal on a Wii game and it gave me the idea to make this thread.  I picked up Xenoblade Chronicles mint for $40, I'd have to say that is the best deal I've ever got on a video game.  The game is really hard to find in Canada because we didn't get those used Gamestop copies and I couldn't beleve I finally found it.  I actually found a copy a month before and when I called the guy said he just sold it 20 minutes ago, but now I'm glad that happened since this copy is mint.

My second best is actually pretty recent too and it was when I got a Wii U for $200 when they were phasing out the basic bundle.  They were having a sale at Target so I got there when they opened as I assumed there would be a lot of people there, turns out I was the only one that was there to buy a Wii U and got one out of the three they had.  When I got home and hooked it up it, it didn't work so I called the Target back and luckily they still had one of the three Wii U's left so I went back and got another one and its worked perfectly since I got it.

So what's your guys best deals?

Pretty much, every single Pack that I got during the Steam Summer Sale where they gave u 70 games for like $70-$80... Basically its like, I want one game out of the 70 games so I get 1 game and 69 others for basically $10 with over $500 is savings (shamless advertisment talk)

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Best deal I ever got was at a Video rental place called Videoland. Second hand Shadow Hearts for 10 euro. After finishing I managed to sell it for 70 euro.

Same story for Castlevania Chronicles.

My best deals come from personal sales. Besides that, Ps+ has granted me so many games this last year, it's really ridiculous for that price.
Also I happened to buy a 150 dollar psn card for 15 euro's or something but that seemed to be illegal at the time...
Actually, i think someone here at Vgchartz made me aware of that seller on ebay.

Gamestop was doing this special where if you traded in a DS, you can get a 3DS for $100. Since I had two DS's I took advantage of the offer.

Many years ago I got a PS2 game for only a dollar. Apparently the store made an error when they marked the price, but ended up selling to me for the one dollar anyways. I wish I could remember what game it was.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Okami wii with IGN watermark on cover (priceless shit) + No More Heroes + Madworld + Metroid 3 = less than 30€.

This all in 2010. All of them new, except Metroid. It was a steal.

From the top of my memory:

(New)Rayman Origins £2.99 (360 version)
(New)Sonic Generations £4.99 (360 version)
(New)Kirby Epic Yarn £10
(New)2000 Nintendo point £3.49
(New)Xenoblade £18 (was very rare at the time)
(New)Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure £5 (DS version)

The korean version of Lost Odyssey for 12 euros.

I'd say Final Fantasy XIII for 2 euros was a sweet deal as well.

EDIT: Oblivion Game of the Year for 360 for 4 euros, with the disc virtually new (previous owner only played like 10 minutes).

Moneywise? Half-Life and Half-Life 2 for $5.

Bang for my buck? Mario Kart Wii, totaling about $.05/hour of playtime.

Most of the games i bought on steam i got crazy deals on.

As far as physical copies I got Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for $3.00 at a yard sale.

Jet force gemini for $4 one week after launch at kmart. It was a pricing mistake on the computer :) I was able to buy goldeneye as well, best birthday present ever.
