Best deal I ever saw, was a friend of mine buying a Suikoden 1 for 1 euro at a yard sale a couple months ago. Complete and mint. For 1 euro....

Steam's Holidays as a whole xD Even Gabe Newell got Skyler to betray Walt O.o
For games, FFVII for £3, Xenoblade for £20 and MVC2 (when it was rare) for £8. All were new.
For consoles, got PS3 slim with GT5 Limited Edition for £180 in 2009 (sold GT5 for £50), 3DS XL for £90 in 2013 and GBASP for £10 in 2005. All brand new :)
Amazon Black Friday Vita bundle for 2012.
Most of my games cost me around 10 - 20 USD. I don't pay 60 for backlog games (only for games I plan on buying then and there). The cheapest I paid for a game this gen was RAGE for 5 USD new on Amazon.
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
When I was a kid my parents paid for everything.

Are you enjoying watching that beast appreciate in value by the day?

Yes.
I rarely ever buy games on day one, too, but this time it seems I've made the best possible decision. :)

Sega Saturn SLS USB controller for £10 on eBay, and also works on PS3. The funny thing is, the seller thought it was a PS3 controller that just so happens to work on PC, so to my luck, it went under the radar convincingly.
Games.. too many instances. I'll have to dig out my vintage collection, see if anything rings any bells and edit this post tomorrow.
That said, I did find Ratchet and Clank TOD on PS3 for £6 new, but fuck me, the lack of trophies are quite a big turn off.

Suikoden 2 for one dollar at a yard sale about 7 or 8 years ago. It was reselling for over a hundred dollars online at the time...
