So Can Vita Be Up This Year? Their Are Currently 8 Weeks left for the year... If Vita TV is counted japan should have a huge effect in catching up. Also there is FFX releasing their With GE2 just recently released!

NoA has Tearaway and So does Europe but its going to be heavily bundled (i think it has 2 different ones, not sure if US will have one?).

What do you think? here are the results!!!

[FY Sales = 2012 ~ 3.67mil]

vs

[FY Sales = 2013 ~ 2.14mil so far (8 weeks to go)]

Difference 1.53mil to go, Has to Average out to  around 170k-185k Weekly for the rest of the remaining 8 weeks!

No post??? I think Vita TV will be a major help, it mightbarely pass,im talking about between 50k-150k YoY o.O

NoA has Tearaway and So does Europe???

Think you got something wrong there lol.

OT, how much has the vita sold so far this and how much did it sell last year cant be bothered looking it up.? Its looking pretty unlikely at this stage but we have already seen a boost for the vita the latter part of this year due to the price cut and new games. I see the sales for the handheld increasing yoy from next year onwards.

My projections show about 3.5 million.

I suppose that would be not counting Vita TV.

Vita has no chance of selling more than 1 million units within 8 weeks so no the VITA won't be up YOY.

Well if it does the same as last year numbers it would out vita just under 8mil lifetime. Next year is a tough call. vita tv will help out the market by a hell of alot in US+Europe especially wen ps4 doing so well! It just needs the games to support it.

Hopefully next year it can double its lifetime time sales, we'll see soon enough, as for this year its under by a littlemore than 1.5mil. It needs to sell close to 200k per week just to tie last years numbers. Last year the west had COD+AC for releases and bundles. This year is only tearaway in the West. Japan will be the one to carry vita YoY with GE2+FFX+PSV TV

i think they can sell 120k per week intill year ends! Japan will carry it! It got GE2+Vita TV

The US imo will be down from last year cuz it had COD+AC and it was the first christmas. Even though there will be cheaper deals now, i think the new launches will shadow the vita, unlike 3DS which has a 2DS model just for the right price range ($99-$109) and LoZ which is highly rated (unlike other games)

That's just asking to be optimistic. Remember what happen to those predictions about the vita sales from the price cut in japan ? (I don't think we wanna go there again.)

My projections are entirely based on math, not my own opinions -- which is why I don't call them predictions.

Basically, the week ending Nov 9 was week 45 of the year out of 52. On average, roughly 64% of video game consoles are sold in weeks 1 through 45, while the remaining 36% are sold in weeks 46 through 52.

Factor the Vita's YTD sales in and you get about 3.35 million. By no means is this reliable for accuracy. For instance, about 10 weeks ago this same method projected year-end sales of about 12 million consoles for the 3DS, while it now shows roughly 15 million. It's just some numbers I enjoy playing around with.
