'a weak 8' so much fail...
+ Gorgeous design, Brilliant graphics, Phenomenal framerate, Excellent sound, Precise controls, Full of contrast.
- Some stupid levels, At times odd combat direction, Uneven difficulty.
What is a "weak 8", exactly? Is it an 8 or is it a 7.9? Is he saying that an 8 is a low score (which makes no sense)? That was confusing.

My metacritic guess was 80. So up to now I was perfectly right!
For a fps launch game I think 8/10 is quite an excellent score.
weak 8?? Im sorry number 8 on what they made you become.
Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Tell me about it. God, remember when Twilight Princess got an 8.7 from Gamespot? The internet (at least the Nintendo side of it) blew up like an atom bomb. XD |
Back when Twilight princess came out, i was only 10, but i loved that game, it was the first Zelda game i played...

8 is a good score, and the reviewer gave logical reasoning behind the score.

"Killzone: Shadow Fall ends up being a nice side attraction that, despite a few frustrating elements, shows what PlayStation 4 is capable of. The mix of exploration, light puzzles, a slower pace and the contrast between Vekta and Helghan, are elements that really stand out. The wonderful graphics, the juxtaposing aesthetics and the masterful audio also impress. A couple of idiotic missions, a weak ending and a bunch of firefights that devolved into something akin to a meaningless guessing game pull the score down to a weak 8 in the end. Guerrilla is capable of more, but if you're dying for a next-gen action experience, this is a game you can't afford to miss" |
Why you editied the OP to underline those lines? Unlike most I read the complete review and they praising the game..I dont see you point out what they say about the controls and DS4, I'll help you "When it comes to controls and the new DualShock 4, Shadow Fall could be the start of a golden age for the action genre, and first person shooters in particular."
As for the campaign the say "The campaign swings from genius highs to frustrating, horrendous lows. Thankfully the highlights are more frequent than the moments that had us screaming with rage." So i guess this will go down to personal prefference. If you had played any killzone game in the past which i doubt you would knew that sometimes battles can be chaotic and difficult which leave you not knowning what to do next or where to shoot. Its something that i like.
Something else that you could quote but missed "The volumetric lighting in Killzone: Shadow Fall is nothing less than amazing. The level that plays out on the top secret research craft was jaw-dropping. The lighting paired with an insane level of detail makes this an incredible leap from Killzone 3. Particles dot the air making it less than perfect, something that makes more of a difference than we were expecting. Dust and smoke rest in the air and as they're hit by the searchlight from Owl, graphical magic is born."
I dont know about you but I can not wait to play this

I pointed that out because its a very intersting statement and its the 1 that stood out to me. Take the review for what its worth to you but a 8 is not a bad score at all to me. I just think alot of people are expecting more.
