Forums - Gaming - Polygon COD: Ghosts Review update: (XBONE better version)

Better or not this just proves how badly optimized  the game is on all platforms. The fact that there are last gen games which looks better than the next-gen versions of Ghosts and almost all other next-gen games which look better than Ghosts who all run better on their respective platforms just shows how irrelevant the performance difference on any console for this game is in determining which is the better console.

According to Jeff Gertsmann IW is working on a patch to fix and frame rate issues on PS4.

So when they release the patch it will be back to 1080p/60 fps,so all is well.

Polygon is the one that gave The Last of Us a 75 right?

Polygon gave a much lower score to Forza Horizon: http://www.polygon.com/2012/10/24/3480380/forza-horizon

I rather take constant 60fps then a slight resolution bump . Afterall COD is famous for its 60fps action. its not COD if it can't maintain 60FPS

..........It's all about justification for going with the console most of the ones gloating were going to choose before the res issue came up. With the mixed reviews out there this is a waste of time. I guess everybody plays with two screens side by side with 2 consoles and 2 copies f the same game and constantly pause to see if they can spot disparity......

Man I wonder how some of you ever managed with the poor resolution output of the current consoles, it's obviously unbearable to you.

Well, the only thing that could ruin the enjoyment I personally am already having with ghost is if I had to play it with a ps3 controller :P

Agreed, we should all just stick with our PS3s and 360s.

Or maybe people just haver higher expectations when we are talking about a new generation and consoles that cost $400-$500.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Polygon.

Naaa I'll wait for Digital Foundry final veredict.

Of course you will; they will certainly say that 1080p with framerate issue is better than 720p and it will fit your agenda! On the bright side; if you take a still frame at 1080p and compare it to 720p; it will (I hope) effectively be better on the PS4 and it looks like this is what matter to the graphic whores out there instead of the actual gameplay...

Looking at the responses in the thread (from a lot of well known very objective users); it looks like any website/source praising the Xbox One has no credibility on this forums lately; I wonder if it has anything to do with the majority of the users being Sony fans

Like BF4 with and the PS4 blurryness; I'm glad the COD version is also superior on Xbox One as it is the console I'll use to play it in 10 days.

You believe Battlefield is better on Xbone? Man, life must be tough four you. I hope Microsoft throws some money at you too, otherwise it is not sustainable.

I guess I forgot to mention "in my oppinion" :)

Yes, in my oppinion the graphics of the PS4 version of BF4 looks blurry.

Ps3wasonce next gen and cost 600 and 1080 existed so i don't see the logic. all I know is despite  the numbers, both the x1 and ps4 look better than the current consoles.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

I found something interesting...

Beyond3D guys are saying if you choose 720p in video setthings on PS4 it will render the game in 720p and upscale to 1080p.

The Sixth Axis video comparison (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyeYnmad5VM) used a PS4 footage running at 720p (as verified by Beyond3D mods/pixel counters).

This will be funny

Poor logic. Before ps360 the resolution wasnt even 480p. Bluray players were over 100 dollars and majority of houses had rare projection tvs...

This has been what developers have been saying since this whole resolution thing came up. Going with a lower resolution gives the game a much better frame rate which is more important. I bet Activision told Sony its best to go lower then 1080P but Sony insisted they make it 1080p.
