My #49 is very a very obvious choice, but actually wasn't on my list last year. However, I famously did a sort of playthrough of a similar game and shared it with VGChartz until Hurricane Sandy ruined my save data.

Dammit, everyone's guessed each others clues before I had a chance.

BTW Hurricane Sandy, how did that ruin your save? Did your house flood or something?

P.S. This is why I love living in Toronto. Hurricanes that rip apart Florida, and even mess up New York/New Jersey either turn east before they get here (Sandy hit Halifax moderately hard), or the settle out and become a very light thunderstorm. No earthquakes, no hurricanes, and it's warmer here then Vermont, Washington, Montana, etc because we're either more south then them, or just lower in elevation. We're literally New York, but with better roads, less polutions, less smokers, less crime, and a temperature difference of just 2-3 degree F.......sorry about the rant, my girlfriend just wnet to New York, and her New York Family thought Toronto was like a farm.....Toronto is bigger then Chicago, and 4th largest in North America.

Luckily, my household managed to escape flooding, thanks to a combination of where the storm hit precisely, our position atop a hill, and there being most of Long Island in the way. I lost power while using my computer with the emulator running in the background. For some reason, this corrupted the save file I was using. I think I technically could have gone back and replayed the 5 or 6 hours erased, but I really wasn't in the mood after half of my team died against Erika. Plus, the post-Sandy world was a bit complicated in my neck of the woods, meaning that even if everything went ideally, I'd have had to take a few week hiatus anyway.

Incidentally, I'm doing another Nuzlocke run now, in HeartGold, but I'm doing it fairly privately this time. Keeping it a bit more intimate, and on my own schedule.

As for New Yorkers thinking Toronto is a farm village... well, this is a combination of two unfortunate trends. Americans in general tend to overlook Canada and Canadian things in general, even though Canada is not exactly insignificant. The whole "America's Cap" joke and all that. New York makes it worse, however, because we're under the impression that we're the capitol of the world. In a sense we are, what with the stock exchange and UN headquarters and whatnot. But as a whole, New Yorkers tend to think that the world in general is a fairly small, dense place, and there's little of importance outside of the metropolitan area.

In other words...

Be glad you warrant a place on the map.

Well....I don't see Toronto, but all the cities in Canada look just as big as the cities in USA. LOL

P.S. HeartGold is awesome. Not spoiling anything, but once you beat the game, you can catch some of the newer Pokemon (specifically some of the new Legendaries) so there is a really nice post game to it.

I will give a hint for my #49 game! And I'll make it really difficult!

Hint: An awesome game from a well known series that released on a Japanese system, It was released later on a portable gaming console! Collecting hearts was a part of its gameplay mechanics!

I'm going to go with Riviera: The Promised Land. First Released on Winderswan colour then GBA, and I think there is something about hearts in that game.

That or Persona 2, the one that didn't localize on PS1, but was localized for PSP.

Bravo. Seven is a lucky number. Mario Kart 7 has a  "community" system. And the 3DS is all about playing games in 3D. Stereoscopic 3D, that is. *evil laughter*

All that work trying to get someone to say FFVII was worth it.

#49. Mario Kart 7 (3DS)

I have a confession to make: I was never a huge Mario Kart fan until I played Mario Kart 7. The main draw for me was the drifting mechanics, which remind me of Nintendo's best racing franchise: F-Zero. So, MK7 became the first Mario Kart game I've ever earned three stars in, and the first Nintendo-developed game I've spent more than ten hours playing online. Brilliant racing game. Mario Kart 8 looks to be even better (and more like F-Zero), so for the first time ever, I'm immensely hyped for a game in this series.

OH! I get how FF 7 was a hint now. When you said this is the games first appearance into 3D gaming, I didn't think you ment stereoscopic 3D, I thought you meant in game.

I can't play Mario Kart on Handhelds. It's just not fun without friends behind you to yell at.

More reason to expect Mario Kart 8 to be the greatest racing game ever.

Nope and nope! But I will say that you got one of the portable systems right . The hearts are a big part of the gameplay aspect in the game.

that eludes me......Earthbound 2 (aka Mother 3)? You never said the game itself localized.

I could give you that hint. It wasn't localized on it's original release BUT it was localized on it's portable release.

Maybe, I much prefer MK64 over MK Wii. Wii is fun, but just too hecktic, the game...pardon the pun...depends on lunk far too much. MK64 and Super MK largely depended on skill.

I'll still get MK8, but it might be my last Mario Kart ever (unless I have kids down the road).

Star Fox for the 3DS maybe?

You are exactly one logical leap from the correct answer. Let me "steer" you in the right direction: when I say "luckiest entry", I'm referring to the game's title.

Mario Kart 7.

#49: Despite the hero's last name, there is no American Football in the game, though some makes an appearance in the sequel.

I like how even the playing field is in Mario Kart 7. Snaking is purposeless now, and drifting is easy for anyone to learn. And with the second screen, it's actually possible to anticipate when someone is about to let a blue shell loose.

Hm...well this could be tricky. It can't be Front Mission DS because you said it's either GBA or PSP.

Could it be Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together? Released on the Super Famicom, PS1 and PSP? If it is, your hint is a bit misleading because the PS1 Ogre Battle includes this game and it did localize (but the original did not).

Maybe Star Ocean: First Departure?

These games are on my TDL so I have no clue if they have hearts as a main part of the game.
