Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GCN/2003) Guessed by Trucks
I know Double Dash is a polarizing title -- some love it, some hate it -- but to me it's the best Mario Kart experience available, and one of the best local multiplayer games of all time. I can't tell you how many hours I've logged in Double Dash (surely in the hundreds), and it's a testament to the huge replay value of the game. Even after I beat every cup at every speed and unlocked all the games secrets, I was still drawn back to the game, to challenge by friends for bragging rights. What sets Double Dash apart from other Mario Kart games are the tracks, which are designed very well and take advantage of spacing and height better than any game in the series, and of course its two-player-per-cart mechanic, which adds a new level of strategy (and insanity) to each race.

Yep, that's right!
Clue for #41:
This game, which started a franchise, shares an acronym with a game that arrived one year earlier on PS2.

As in F-Zero GX? |
Yes. Ruby, Sapphire, etc are regular cups, AX is a secret cup named after F-Zero AX, the arcade version of the game.
35. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
SNES, GBA (1995)
Nintendo EAD
I'll always remember the moment when I first saw this game. I was immediately blown away by what I was watching on the screen, like a painting come to life. I only had a few moments to play the game, but what I played was truly magical to match the visuals. After that... it would be years later when I would finally have this game for my own. Thanks to the GBA and its SNES porting shenanigans, I picked up Yoshi's Island and finally got to play through the game... and what an adventure it was. Gorgeous visuals (that still remain some of the most beautiful in gaming), unique platforming gameplay, (literally) larger than life bosses, and a crying baby Mario... all came together to create one of the most uniquely fun games I've ever played. Nintendo hasn't done much to honor this game's legacy, developing lacklsuter sequels (Yoshi's New Island looks to continue that trend... hopefully I'm wrong), and not putting this game on the Virtual Console (It would be nice to play this game on the big screen), but it remains a magical game nonetheless.
Hint for #31:
Before making cats the cutting edge in fashion, he made Raccoons trendy again.
