Alot of people have been saying that gaming journalist are intentionally ignoring the difference between the Xbox One and PS4 to downplay their differences. 

In this video from IGN they do a comparison in which "We'd love to say one system is clearly more powerful than the other, but nope it doesn't work that way" is said. They then proceed to make a list that vaguely tries to paint them as equals (Custom AMD GPU WTF?) 

This is getting absolutely ridiculous  How are these Microsoft damage controlling news sites allowed to get away with this?

Honestly, if any damage was done to the mass view of Xbox One from E3, IGN can't do much about it now. It works both ways. Only the core are seeing this, and they're going to make both consoles sell out initially. We'll just have to wait and see how the press goes. If either console has any launch problems, things could change quickly.

The problem here is that IGN is intentionally trying to mislead potential buyers that they are equals spec wise before launch. It isn't true and IGN should be called out on their lies. 

I don't think PS4 is blowing the One away yet.  If that comes later so be it, but Forza looks great even if it's only a racer, and there are ways to cover up deficiencies.  It's not like the One looks like the N64, so most people won't notice.  They will later when Sony makes their epic first party games.

I'm not sure what you think is wrong with what they said.

None of that is wrong and she did mention PS4 specs are better from a technical aspect.  I'm not sure how any of that is misleading.

It's IGN, why did you expect?

The consoles showing their best later in the cycle doesn't have one thing to do with the fact that ps4 is stronger than the Xbox one. It's an attempt to make them equal. 

This is all bullshit. One is stronger, they know it is, and they are intetionally misleading with these nonesense statements. 

First i want to ask why does this make you so angry? 

And they did say the PS4 had better specs.  

Didn't they get the PS4 ram wrong? They called it DDR5 rather then GDDR5?

Microsoft has more money.
Xbox One will have a much bigger media coverege.

The OS funcionalities and the W8 like "echosystem" will draw away any slight hardware power discrepancy.

If you already made your mind, so, why bother with it?
