Forums - Sony - DS4 Stick Problem Update: GAFers Are Reporting Similar Issues

Hope this isn't a big issue, that'd suck.

Around the Network

It won't be a problem for everyone, i think it does for the people whose hands are pretty hard. But, so far we've seen only very few people are reporting even though so many people have been using this.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Ugh I hate that type of rubber, so cheap

This looks much more durable.

My PS1-PS3 controllers are all fine. So either these have regressed in rubber quality or everyone wants 15 minutes of fame.

To be honest some people just go through controllers like candy. I've never had to replace a controller, but some people seem to be magnets for breaking stuff.

Even more gaffers are saying that they have no issue including DemonNite and FamousMortimer.

maybe its a problem with a certain batch of the rubber used for the sticks, it almost looks corroded even the bottom edge of the sticks where your thumbs don't even touch look affected in those pics.

What does this have to do with DS4? Inferring quality for new products basing off past products is not seldom wrong. But I think it only affects a few people and even if there is an issue they will replace the crappy rubber ones and will change the manufacturing process.

Sony practically re-engineered the DS4 over the DS3, they looked at everything even tested measuring a persons galvanic skin response. The DS4 was in R&D a long time, guerrilla games had input into the DS4 which they have spoken about, they have been using it and any issues I guess would be reported back same goes for other devs. The thing would have been stress tested to death. We will all find out soon enough!
