Oh I always forget the fact Frequency is a woman. Also I only knew Frequency was a developer, not specifically wii u. Thanks :)
I can not believe, that this is taken so seriously. Did I miss any source?!
A member of neogaf stating he knows the specs of Wii U GPU without any credible source is not confirmation of anything. Such a thing is called "rumor".
Furthermore he proclaimed in the same thread, that Wii U dev kits were overheating and hence they needed to downgarde specs. This information was denied by Shinen themself (https://twitter.com/ShinenGames/stat...35812351565825).
So one information confirmed being wrong... does not make the rumor about the specs more reliable.

Great. So is my Swiss Army Knife. I can do more things with it than with all those consoles.
: )
Good old times when videogames were just about.... games.

So the U is 176gflops. Still getting a Wiiu later this month though. Got windwaker already, cant wait for mario 3d. Im just sad that Nintendo made it less powerful because they had to keep it small. Small consoles really dont matter, they can always do a hardware revision later on.

thats just horse shit ! The CPU is arguably weaker/ inferior to the PS360´s (though you can´t compare them 1:1 to each other because their strenght´s and weaknesses are very different). The GPU is unargably more powerful. |
The Wii U has more ram, thats it. Everywhere else it is lagging. You obviously do not understand the correlation between semiconductor lithography and power consumption.
Wii U : 40/45 nm & 40 Watts
PS360 Slim Versions: 40/45 nm & ~100 watts
Do the math.

Care to elaborate more? I'm led to believe that technology is supposed to become more effiecent over time.

LOL, if it the power balance was 40:100 as you're suggesting, Wii U wouldn't have been able to pull off 6th/7th year PS360 games at launch.
And it is simply untrue that Wii U's only technical advantage is RAM.
Wii U has more than three times as much eDRAM as 360, that's a massive boon to rendering.
Wii U has DX10/11 features compared to the DX9 level stuff on PS3/360.

Kinda reminds me of the Megahertz Wars back in the day, when the uninformed would claim a 700MHz Pentium CPU was faster than a 600MHz PowerPC CPU, lulz.
