The IGN comment is cleary that the game needs one to have the desire to achieve perfection in combat.

It´s very similar with Batman Arkhan games.

The problem with Ryse is that it´s only combat with human enimies, no boss battles . That could make one tired very fast.

no surprise. it sucks. all pretty picture no depth. we see this from beginning. all cutscene no gameplay. when show gameplay is bland boring. reviews will eat this.

i love how people touted this as the defining Xbox exclusive, it's a poor mans god of war, with that said, it is beautiful if only it had more depth.

I have to play it for myself to form my own opinion, but the combat looks just as dull as that Xbox 360 F2P game Ascend hands of kul(I think that's the name?).
Otherwise graphically the game looks stunning, though I don't play video games for pretty pictures.

Why do you love it?  Do you take pleasure in seeing people getting excited about a game and being disappointed?

I had to chuckle abit at "this is definitely the most impressive looking next gen game I've seen, at least from a technical standpoint"...yeah mister Ign reviewer I'm sure you've made a great technical analysis while playing this game for a couple hours...

I don't think anyone was expecting this game to be brilliant, to be honest
