Would it make you feel better if instead of COD BF4 was in my sig?

i would feel the best if people would care more about what their console of choice has or can and not what the console they won't buy can't do or doesn't have. but that is obviously only a dream which will never come true. i mean, i play mostly on pc but in the last years i never felt as if i have to tell people how laughable ps360 or even wii is because of resolution or other stuff.

and sry if there is an irony in the pic which i missed. something like playing cod on a 480p tv caring about resolution or something like that

Is your PC 100$ cheaper than PS360? :)

And how do you know what my console of choice will be? What makes you think I'll even buy a next gen system?

this is shipped..not sold..how does this compare to other COD's?

since no one is answering our questions,...  i googled it.

"Activision announced today Call of Duty Black Ops 2 made $500 million on its first day at retail, eclipsing the franchise's previous record of $400 million as set by Modern Warfare 3 last year. Back then Modern Warfare 3 sold 6.5 million copies in the US and UK to make that figure, suggesting even greater numbers of copies sold this time around."

..the cake thread is a lie.

Wow...there's no way for it to have doubled like that. They have to be using the number sold to retailers (both current and next gen) instead of to consumers.

If not, then this is just pure nuts.

well the OP clearly states "into retail stores" while my article clearly states " at retail" so the numbers aren't quite directly comparable.  shipped vs. sold is for sure at play here.

serius?
so its bigger than GTA?
how coult it be possible?

my pc doesn't even have kinect 2 which costs a lot to produce and is still more expensive as an xbox one and not only more expensive as the "cheap" ps360. but even if my pc would cost only 50 bucks i'm not sure why i should change my attitude...

and no, i don't know if you will buy a next gen console. but i will guess, i think you will buy a ps4 and in the next years we will maybe see if i was right so, let's talk in a few years about this post

Yeah, just nice number spin, this billion is bound to include large initial shipments for PS4 and One as well. Merely manipulation of figures, is all.

One also has to consider the time of release, CoD games usually benefit from the massive holiday boost so, overall, GTA V's accomplishment will stand head and shoulders above no matter what.

holy fuck! so it broke the GTA record?!

I just don't understand what people see in the franchise any longer. For me, it died after Modern Warfare, the campaigns are just too stupid, simple, predictable and has marshmallow gameplay with no weight or feel. QTE's didn't do them any favors either.
The multiplayer was never fun after CoD 2 in my opinion.
No tactics, small maps, unrealistic ballistics and sound, frag-focused gameplay and a bunch of 12 year olds screaming shit in your ear.

There is nothing small about the maps in Ghost , they are more a long the lines of World at War and the sound is phenomenal. The audio is some of the best Ive ever heard. They seemed to have made this a primary focus on the new game.

So it sounds like $1 billion worth of games shipped to retailers, of both this gen (PS3, XBOX 360, Wii U), PC and Next gen (PS4, XBox one), which isnt out for another 2-4 weeks.

also Call of Duty's have been having shorter and shorter legs the past 3 or so years. So it does sound to me like the while the franchise is still huge, it is seeing a decline.

and GTAV still sounds to have sold more, and on just 2 platforms.
