Forums - Gaming - Who Really Won the Console War?

This gen had three losers, in my opinion. I have never bought fewer console games or been more annoyed at inflated review scores and shallow gameplay and writing.

Technically, it was the Wii, strategically it was the 360.

Don't forget all the DLC whoring!

This gen is a joke compared to Gen 6. I have 4xthe PS2 games that I have of PS3. I kept buying PS2 consistently thorough gen 7 as well..

Around the Network

Nintendo won: over 100 million Wii's and over 150 million DS's. Over 1.6 billion units of software sold.

The biggest loser was Sony given that they collapsed from a dominating lead with the PS2 down to third place over the last generation.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The wii won objectively. Every win is about who made the most money. If I sale 2 billion console but lost 2 billion what did I win?

Yeah, I used to have about 60-70 PS2 games, I still have over 40 of them somewhere. I have less than 20 PS3 games and I haven't finished more than 5-6 of them. There have been some gems this generation but, overall this has been a tragic console cycle for me. And, I haven't bought a single piece of DLC, it's major bullshit.

Turned me 99% PC it did! Which is fine, it pushed me into exploring the full extent of the PC as a gaming platform, I never looked back.
