I'm sorry if I been spaming topics today ,but I feel this have to be talked about. Now honestly, this is not bashing the franchise, but do you feel Call of Duty is the new Guitar Heroes by now with most gamer and reviews?

If this game genuinely doesn't sell, then maybe Activision can take a year off to really make something new in the franchise, but I think the game is going to sell just fine
I don't believe that FPS are fundamentally going down a closed path. Guitar games couldn't really do anything new, but they can definitely change CoD if they really want to
No. It'll shrink but I think It'll maintain a decent sized fanbase and continue on for a long time. This generation transition will not be kind to it. Especially now that MS has a new pet.

Even if CoD popularity goes down, the genre is going to stay relevant. To the contrary, music games with plastic guitar controllers are kind of a joke now.

I believe so. But thats mostly cause i think they both never did anything to progress their genre. All they ever did was release more of the same thing. Go figure it was activision who was incharge of both franchises. People give alot of crap to EA about things but I belive Activision deserves more flack for never doing anything but releasing rehashes of the same series every year. Guitar hero, CoD, Assassins Creed, etc etc.

Not at all. It's actually a shame that Ghosts will sell less than BO2. I can already say that this game is more fun than Black Ops 2 ever was. However, I think it needs to switch to a 2 year cycle with only IW developing. Let Treyarch make their own series (kinda like what EA wanted to do with MOH and Battlefield)
