Activision are the masters at taking something fun and milking the hell out of it until it's unplayable. First it was the awesome THPS series which was, believe it or not, a really great series. THPS1-Underground were all really fun, great games. Next? Guitar Hero...now COD.

Activision is a cold hard capitalistic monster and only cares about making as much money as they can as quickly as they can. Art? Quality? haha!! Yeah, right.

I've always thought that CoD was the new Guitar Hero, 2-3 years ago.

Uhh no. At the height of its popularity GH/RB wasn't even in the same universe as COD's sales numbers. And where are they now? Music games are dead (unless you count dancing games like Just Dance) while COD is still selling like hot cakes.

I hope not, but I hope it does bad enough for them to actually put some effort into the games again.

What do you mean "new"? Considering they pump out a new CoD every single year, yes, I would say it's absolutely fair to compare it to GH. Now, they haven't (yet) to my knowledge put out two CoD games in one year, so it's not AS bad. But still.......it is a bit of overkill. I guess it's more appropriate to compare CoD to Madden.

personally I like to compare COD to the "short bus" version of competitive shooters... err rather COD is the SB version of competitive shooters...
