This game is not old and had nothing wrong with it to begin with. I don't quite get the re release. Also, it prob would have been smart to either release it before it got released for free on PS+ or quite awhile after...not shortly after like they did.

The re-release was created thinking on the Wii U crowd, those who had not played the previous editions and could get the full game with some minor improvements and GamePad support.

But they made several mistakes on the marketing side of things, first they made the game available in all consoles (because they heard a very vocal minority who did not buy the new edition anyway) . Second, as you mentioned they released it AFTER they offered the base game for free on PS+. And third they charged 20 dollares extra for the Wii U version making it look bad against the other 2.

So the people did not buyed the remakes for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and some Wii U owners are waiting for the price of the game to come down, because they now have other versions price to compare.

Optimal solutions would had been, release it as a timed exclusive for the Wii U on May for 50 dollars, then release the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions for 30 dollars on september, but don't mention the price difference till the last minute, and don't release the ultra-cheap update in PC at all, cause people will compare prices.

Bought it for Wii U. Only £23;99 on zavvi.com. Like most of the games ive bought in the last 2 years im yet to play it though.

Everyone who was interested already played the game, it's been available for free on PS+ in both Europe and in the US, and for a short period of time, the Wii U version was announced as getting the Director's Cut as an exclusive.

There's a reason it didn't sell on the PS360 and being named an exclusive at one time, may have pushed more copies than it would have had otherwise.

So was NInja Gaiden Razors Edge. Its more due to the quality of the title.
