Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Ubisoft Snuff Rumors Of Discontinuing Nintendo Support

Yes, Ubisoft with their unprecedented support, and then delaying Rayman. I understand them though since the sales of Wii U dropped quickly as they saw in the beginning of this year. Still I wonder if Rayman would really sell more, especially the total Wii U sales of it, if it was Wii U exclusive in March. It would at least have had less competition in that timeframe.

Yep.

Child of light too Ubisoft

well off course they not going to say after this batch of games we are done, otherwise no one will buy their games out of anger. They need to at least try to recover their money on these ports lol.

Isn't the Wii U getting redheaded stepchild ports of AAA games? (Aka little developer support and no post-launch content)

They did not mention anything about future support. I guess Watch Dogs is going to be the last major Ubisoft title the Wii U will receive for a while.

Have you ever thought that Ubisoft has games that aren't announced that are coming to Wii U?

Atleast Ubisoft didn't say unprecedented.

Ass creed is not a game I would want to play as for SC I might get it later and Watch dogs looks cool but still undecided about that one

I actually suspect that a number of companies have multiple unannounced Wii U titles in the works, including some Wii U versions of announced games.

My suspicion is that Nintendo has basically asked the companies not to talk about anything 2014 yet, so that they have a good batch of announcements to make, probably in a Nintendo Direct some time in the next two months, providing them with a good bit of ammunition against XB1 and PS4.

Why do I say this? Because we don't even know the third Sonic game, yet. And other companies that have long supported Nintendo platforms when they've been struggling also have nothing announced for 2014... for Wii U or 3DS. In fact, the only games I'm aware of, other than major Nintendo titles, announced for either platform in 2014 are titles that were announced a long time ago, with the sole exception of Ubisoft's Child of Light.
