Forums - Sony Discussion - Does Sony Cater To Arrogant Fans?

As I say, Sony fans criticize consoles and games and everyone else criticizes Sony fans. Only goes to show that some people are a wee bit over sensitive.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Watching Sony get knocked down a peg at the beginning of this past gen was oh so sweet after enduring a decade of their arrogant smugness. Going from first to third (and then crawling their way back to 2nd), and seeing previous third party exclusive after third party exclusive leave Sony land and go multiplatform (which still continues to this day) was definitely one of the highlights of the past generation for me.

Going to suck for you this gen...Sony's fourth console, and most likely third one to be #1...not to shabby.

6th console*  4th home console.  PSP and PSV are consoles as well.

Oh but they are.  That is why people often refer to them as mobile consoles and home consoles.  It is also why the vita was named PSV (PS5)

Are you going to support this accusation or are you just going to say this and expect people to agree with you because you said so?

handheld video game console is a lightweight, portable electronic device with a built-in screen, game controls, speakers and replaceable and/or rechargeable batteries or battery pack.[1] Handheld game consoles are smaller than home video game consoles and contain the console, screen, speakers, and controls in one unit, allowing people to carry them and play them at any time or place.[2][3]

In 1976, Mattel introduced the first handheld electronic game with the release of Auto Race.[4] Later, several companies—including Coleco and Milton Bradley—made their own single-game, lightweight table-top or handheld electronic game devices.[5] The oldest true handheld game console with interchangeable cartridges is the Milton Bradley Microvision in 1979.[6]

Nintendo is credited with popularizing the handheld console concept with the release of the Game Boy in 1989[3] and as of 2011 continues to dominate the handheld console market[7] with their Nintendo DS and DSi systems.[8] However, Nintendo's latest handheld, the Nintendo 3DS, has been their largest handheld or video game console investment success in 30 years.

MSX wasnt really PlayStation branded as far as I am aware.  And PSX wasn't a handheld as far as I am aware unless Im mixing it up with something else.

As for calling me Mr Anal, im not really sure if that was necessary and a really poor choice of words.
