i hope that happens. Epic games are certainly a quality dev, if they start branching out and expanding it means more good games and more good games for everyone to play. 

Not exactly.  You prob arent going to find a bigger EPIC fan than me on VGC and someone who visits EPIC Forums they arent the same team they was a few years ago.  They are still my favorite developer but Rod Ferguson, Mark Reins, and Cliff Bleszinski was an awesome team together.  

They will still be great but itll be interesting to see what happens without having them as their leaders.  It has been implied that there is changes inside of EPIC since the korean buyout.   And People Can Fly has already proved to not be near as good as EPIC.  Think Bulletstorm and Gears Judgement.

One of the reasons they have been so efficient is because of Cliff Bleszinki.  People can give him crap all they want but he is a genious when it comes to games.  Jazz Jack Rabit, Gears of War, Unreal Tournament,  and Shadow Complex.  He also had a lot of say in Fortnite which looks good.

Working with Epic did good for MS, so I wouldn't be surprised if Sony wanted some Epic appeal as well.

Would not be surpised, Epic are pleased with how the PS4 turned out and they have been vocal about getting games on the playstation platform.

I don't think its an exclusive but just some title that never land on PlayStation platform before... example Gears of War...
