Anyone else think that the reason we haevn't been seeing great Wii U deals, in the States, - or anywhere else for that matter - is because of... amiibo?
A little bit of conspiracy theory now: Nintendo doesn't want to lose revenue now that Wii U is making le money; Nintendo said that they would need to produce more units now (think Iwata said this in June or July).
So, with not a lot of stock and the need to make money, plus Smash, MK 8 and amiibo, and let's not forget, making money is a priority, Nintendo probably didn't cut deals with the Walmarts and Gamestops of the US, therefore, you basically got none!
/end theory.
