Slightly disappointing because I want it now (I really love the design and look of it), but also great because it means I have plenty of time to save up for it!

Yeah i guess they cant manufacture enough for the west in time, especially for holidays. Oddly enough Australia and New Zealand are getting it this year... guess Japan has some left over stock we can have =D

Yeah but that doesnt really matter does it?? region lockout is probably a software thing that Nintendo could easily change when manufacturing them.

Japan is a separate region from America. I think its NTSC-U for America while NTSC - J for Japan.

Austrailia is PAL though so Australia can import from Europe and vice versa and play games released in their respective country. Though it is rare to do so since Australia doesn't get as many games even EU gets.

Nintendo news of 08/10/2014:

Media Create: The 3DS takes a big drop with the coming of the New 3DS and MH4G next week, selling only 22k units; and the Wii U sells 7.8k units. Super Smash Bros. 3DS is still on the top, with another 100k sold, followed by Yokai Watch with another goddamm 63k units (this game is not falling); then comes Forbidden Manga which debuts with 23k units, and just below the top 10 is Fatal Frame V with 7k units sold.
The songs listed in SSB4's Soundtrack is here (both versions).
A big amount of Indie games exclusive to Nintendo were showcased at indiecade.
MH4G? More like Cross-overs: The game! A collabaration out of this planet comes to MH in December!
