My Walmart has sold out of ten Wii U's in the last week. Wii mini's are going slow, as are 2DS's. But regular Wii's are gone again, DS'S are still here, and 3DS's are selling well. I was really surprised about the Wii U though.

The last Wii U we had was the Zelda bundle, which makes me think people are just buying blindly now ( casuals) since the Original Deluxes were sold out first.

Some interesting information which will likely prove my previous point. Demand will outstrip supply this holiday season, as it did for the 3DS' first. Simply because new consoles take the priority and the Wii U has been tanking for so long. We sold out of our Wii Us in our local GAME, and 3 people came in yesterday trying to buy one. So they're desperately trying to get some in for before the XOne launch, because it just seems to be getting more passive interest.

Nice! Beating out Xbone and the PS4 IS no mean feat...will it reflect in HW sales though?

3DS News: Afternoon November 20, 2013

  • The developers of SteamWorld Dig have a "big announcement" to make tomorrow.
  • Target is selling the 3DS XL for a mere $150 on Black Friday.
  • Nintendo is bundling Pokemon X/Y with the 2DS in South Korea.
  • Cnet's homage to the Game Boy.
  • Koji Kondo, as it turns out, did NOT compose the score of Friday's much anticipated Zelda game. Instead, the game was scored by Ryo Nagamatsu. Nagamatsu is a relative unknown qunatitiy, not even having a Wikipedia page. However, he's worked on various Mario titles' music in the past, inccluding Mario Kart Wii and Galaxy 2.
  • SteamWorld Dig came out today in Japan, as did Picross e4. Tmorrow in the West, Nintendo donwloads will include Ace Attorney 5 DLC.

Nintendo kind of has two birthdays. The first is when the company was founded – 1889. However, Nintendo Co., Ltd. was established as a publicly traded company on November 20, 1947. That would make the Big N sixty-six years old today.

I can't get a break, my Internet was down the whole afternoon!!

Wii U news of 20/11/2013:

  • A crazy japanese "threatened" (correct my grammar if you like) to bomb Nintendo HQ!!
  • Gaming doesn't make children violent... Shocking!
  • SM3DW Best seller on Amazon, awesome FW numbers incoming!
  • Media Create:  Great week for gaming in general! Wii U stays at 15k (if that's baseline, not bad), 3DS keeps beasting, but Vita and Vita TV take the cake!
  • SM3DW played.... in a Xbone!!!
  • Nintendo and airlines.
  • Mynintendonews gets updated!


Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
