I think that today we get the Super Mario 3D World reviews!

Yeah, I think so! Keeping an eye out for reviews but nothing yet. Hopefully they'll be so positive!

I'm sure they will be excellent! If I find any I'll post it here .

  • For a school project, I'm making a handheld gaming-based magazine. Just thought you'd get a giggle from that.
  • Based on VGChartz data, has outsold CoD: Ghosts for the PS3 and 360 combined after their first week. Not bad, even with the lower than usual CoD sales.

Sorry but, which game do you mean? Zelda?

  • For a school project, I'm making a handheld gaming-based magazine. Just thought you'd get a giggle from that.

Interesting. Will you also do a Most Wanted feature for it? Also, will you use the sales data from here?

Edited by me because... see below.

I meant Pokemon X/Y. Can't believe I forgot the actual name of the game.

I wasn't actually going to do a Most Wanted Feature or use any of the info I've gathered from that feature in the magazine. I HAVE considered spreading the Most Wanted feature to other websites I frequent, but realized I liked them to be relatively quiet VGChartz-specific affairs. Any sales data I use, however, will come from here.

The magazine has specific criteria, so I was planning to

  • Writer a "Letter from the Editor," as if I could write a magazine for years on end.
  • Make a feature story reviewing the top 20 most influential and important handhled/mobile gaming stories of 2013 (I've already picked out the stories, but might rearrange the order.)
  • Write a review of one or more games for the 3DS.
  • Make fake advertisments for the 3DS, Vita, and Zelda.
  • Get an interview with a handheld or mobile developer (I'd be sure to share whatever I get hands on here).
  • Write a retrospective of something that happened 10 or 20 years ago.

If I had actual computer knowledge and stuff, I'd make a 3DS oriented website with a lot of these stories and features. Unfortunately, I'm terrible at programming, so that's not a good option for me.

Í´m looking forward to mid 2014, when there are many games out on wii u which are worth playing (in summary: Zelda WW HD, 3D World, Smash bros, Mario Kart 8, DK TF, Bayonetta and so on...). Till then, wii u stays dead for me.

Well it is good to know that you are keeping it as an option

3DS News: Early Afternoon November 19, 2013

  • Atlus is releasing a game in the West called "Conception 2: Children of the Seven Stars." THis game, also for the Vita, will come to America this Spring.
  • Somebody else already mentioned this, but to clarify: a new Fossil Fighters game has been announced. The game brings a bunch of changes to the series, including a new camera system, vehicles, better graphics, etc. It arrives in Japan next year, and will probably be released in the West some time later.
  • The UK is getting one hell of a 3DS promotion. Basically, you buy a 3DS within a certain timeframe, register a game and the system within the timeframe, and get a digital copy of Super Mario 3D Land free. New UK 3DS owners, take advantage of this; SM3DL is one of the system's best games, and not a particularly hefty download.
  • Apparently, the new Zelda started as a successor to the DS titles. It was only after Skyward Sword was completed that making it a Link to the Past sequel was brought up.
  • Today, multiple 3DS games come out in North America, most notably an Adventure Time game in the style of Zelda and that Young Justice game that's been delayed a lot.
  • It's the 7th anniversary of the Wii. Not 3DS-related, but it had to be noted!

Also, a request. Is there anybody reading this that can be considered part of the game industry who I can interview? For a school project?

Pokemon, I should have guessed it. What other 3DS game could outsold CoD?

About your project, I ment mostly sales data. It looks a bit ambitious, are you doing it alone?

Also, for that interview, do you already know who will it be? There are a few mobile devs around here, maybe you could go with one of them.

Oh, and good luck with it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

95 so far on Metacritic with 11 reviews, very early but still...

Using Gamerankings as a Guide, I've seen 20 scores so far. Eight are perfect, and all but one are 9/10 or above. The exception gave it a 4/5 and, if I remember correctly, makes a policy of not giving half-points.

I've already done half of the magazine, so I guess it's not beyond my means. I'm just having troubles getting an interview.
