3DS news of 15/02/2014:

  • Well, I guess my twitter didn't work? I found literally nothing for today! But that's not going to stop me!
  • Global SW for the 1st week of February: Pokemon X/Y was (again) the best selling game with 66k units sold. Followed by 42k units of Kirby Triple Deluxe, Youkai Watch with 28k (only in Japan), AC: NL with 25k, and PDZ with 23k (only in Japan). Then, under the Top 30, ALBW, Mario Party, Toushin Toshi, MK7, NSMB2, 3D Land, LM: Dark Moon (those legs 0.0), this japanese game, and, at number 75, Mario and Luigi: DT. Kirby reached 400k with only Japan! ALBW is already at the #11 spot of the best selling 3DS games.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

255 max on one stat (252 effective, other 3 would be wasted because they wouldnt give a stat point) and 512 EV total. Most people go 252 one stat, 252 second stat, 8 on last stat.

Gen 6 changed the max EV's in one stat to 252, so no need accidently going over.

But yeah 252/252/6 is the most cookie cutter build for most pokemon.

Of course it isn't always the best.

For example my Talonflame:

- Brave Bird

Going full speed isn't needed, unless its a talonflame vs. talonflame scenario.  At this speed he can outspeed max speed Jolly Mega Pinsir's Quick with Brave Bird at lv 50 (speed tiers at lv 50 vs. 100 are kinda borked). Mega Pinsir is the fastest poke with priority that Talonflame can counter in OU. Also at this speed he is fast enough to Flare Blitz anything that I don't want to Brave Bird (that isn't a counter of course).  The rest is put into HP to be better able to survive recoil (I've had many games where the extra 11 HP is a game changer).
