but I was just so bored waiting to get to the next island in the endless expanse of blue. As for the graphics, plenty of Gamecube games looked great without the need for cel shading; Metroid Prime 1 & 2, for example.

i will never understand this...didnt you feel the sense of adventure ..to go where no one has gone before ? :p

and it clearly wouldnt be possible to create a game like WW without cel shading graphics.

Like the fact that Zelda U has to have cel-shaded graphics otherwise the Wii U wouldn't be able to handle the open-world.

even if it were possible it wouldnt be the same with those generic 'real life'  graphics that grow old in a matter of a few years.. thats why WW holds up even today after more than 10 years.

And was a better option to port due to its art style not making people feel "alienated", and still felt like a fresh, modern game.

Still not sold in MP10. Anyone here planning on picking it up? Would like to hear impressions.

Also Codename STEAM is...Erm...

Last MP I played was on Gamecube, it looks great tho but I'm not planning on buying to many games this year so I might have to miss it.

Did you ever play the N64 titles? Now they are good!

Here's a roundup of some interesting threads in the forum.

A thread asking the hypothetical question if the Wii U had GTA V. Some good discussion there; and it poses a good question. Makes you think where the system might be with that support.

Also, here's a nice thread about levels you hate in games you love. I'm sure we can all think of a few

Xander also proposes a question; asking if Nintendo are wasting their dev studios. It's definitely an interesting topic, not one I'd thought of but there's some good points there.

Finally today we have a thread talking about Zelda sales, namely when the series will hit 100 million sold. My money is on 2018; we'd have a few new games by then but who knows.

There's just a few of the threads which caught my attention today.

I'm not sure, all I can remember playing on that console is MK.

Do you remember ever breaking your controller? :D

Lol no, why?

You didn't play the first MP then. :p

So with the imminent release of Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, I was just wondering how reviews are going to work for this game. Since it's just an eShop title (outside of Japan anyway), can we expect this game to get a decent number of reviews? Does it matter that it's not a retail release?

So March the 2nd is Monday, which means my ill be coming back to a Nintendo platform soon, I'm thinking A: Deluxe MK8 bundle for £249 or B: Basic £149, I already have a 3TB external HDD, can pick up mk8 for like £36. Choices, choices.. What you all recommend?

I would get the deluxe

then buy either bayonetta 2, smash bros u, zombie u, or hyrule warriors first as those are must haves
