In my opinion, Nintendo is at their best and makes their greatest games when they're backed into a corner (N64, GameCube and Wii U are all evidence of this). However, I really want them to dominate again next gen because they need their confidence boosted.

I agree, but selling even half of that looks like it'll be a struggle at this rate (for the Wii U)

40m isn't enough imo. I'd like them to be able to consistently stay above 60m for each console and handheld they make. That would keep them alive forever. 

I think they would know this time that domination doesn't mean immediate success in the following gen.

I just want to have the same pushes, the same quality software as GCN/Wii U gets due to thier absolutely disgustingly terrible sales but with LFT sales of 60m+ all the time.

I don't know what you guys are saying. The Wii and SNES had wonderful masterpieces and they sold pretty well LT.

Nintendo makes good games. Be it with big or low userbase.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

An efficiently run 40mil will be more than enough to make a lot of money.  I just want to see them leverage their IPs better and more consistently and market better.  If they just did that, I think they could be 1st or 2nd ever time.  They don't fall short for lack of resources.

I think Devil's Third might take October or December.

It's coming out in 2016 in Japan, so it's obviously going to be late 2015 in the west.
