Also, I finally downloaded Codename STEAM and I have to say, the game is actually really fun, but it doesn't seem like a game that I could site there for more than 45 minutes to play.

STEAM is a lot more fun than I thought it'd be after trying the demo. Still not sure if I'll get it right away though, I'll probably be working on finishing a few other 3DS games still

Nintendo news of 07/02/2015:

  • Global "weekly" charts, week ending January 17th: The 3DS sold 112k units (a drop of 24% from last week), and 606k 3DS games were sold (a drop of 23%). Its top selling games were: Pokemon ORAS with 93k units, SSB3DS with 56k units, YW2.5 with 50k units, Kenka Banchou 6 (which launched in Japan) 24k units, and Tomodachi Life 22k units. Lower in the chart are AC: NL, Pokemon XY, MK7, MH4G, and NSMB2. The Wii U sold 51k units (a drop of 18%), and 326k games for it were sold (a drop of 21%). Its top selling games were: SSBU with 46k units, Mario Kart 8 with 36k units, and Captain Toad: TT with 24k units. Lower in the chart are 3D World and Nintendo Land.
  • Yet more X news! We have some (gorgeus) screenshots, and the official box art (which does look as on that pic from a shop in Japan)!
  • Nintendo was apparently working on a licensed game for a big franchise... Which made me wonder why do we consider cancelled projects as news. 


Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

At least Nintendo is openly pushing this around the world.  The Original game showed up at an E3 event early in the Wii's life cycle then fanished from western news as far as I know until it's essentially stealth launch years later.  I am standing by my bet of a September release, a month before Star Fox which will be a month before Zelda.

Yeah, either September or October seems a safe bet, the  way I see it.

Nintendo typically don't release more than one major Wii U game a month, and neither Xenoblade nor Starfox is a likly candidate for the November slot, as that's typically reserved for their big holiday title.

I'd be amazed if we see XCX before October. Late October/Early November would be my guess, with Zelda U launching about 4 weeks later.

Ofcourse they might do what they're doing with the 3DS and release loads of games on the same day.
