The animations and physics looks really, really well done in that new Zelda vid. Crazy good. Only thing that bothers me is the glaringly bad lack of collision detection in Link and his cape/sword/shield/hat. It's been that way ever since OOT and never been dealt with, and now it looks worse than ever, with his cape and hat freely flapping right through his shield and such all the time. T_T

That's a good point, but it's the kind of thing I imagine will be sorted out sooner rather than later.

I hope so, but I very much doubt it. OOT had that problem, then MM had it. Wind Waker had it. Twilight Princess had it. Then Skyward Sword had it. TWW HD had it again, as did OOT 3D. Hyrule Warriors has it, too. And all of them showed it very badly, the effect didn't lessen at all...
I don't care too much about any random lack of collision detection now and then, but I hate it when it's glaringly obvious smack in the middle of the screen, right in your face constantly. Like say, on your main character's back, the part you're constantly staring at. T_T
I found it especially weird considering Aonuma in that new vid talked about Epona automatically evading trees so as not to bump into them accidentally, and there's also some pretty good collision detection when Epona bumps into that other horse. But if you pay attention to Link in that vid, his hat and scarf/cape constantly glitch through his back/shield/sword all the time.
