You seemed to miss the question...  What is coming out that's any better for sony over the next few months.

You have to remember X360 is a year older than PS3... And they are still getting content that will never ship on PS3.  That's pretty impressive.

Sony seems to be abandoning the PS3 now.  They definately had a good year, but 2014 looks drier than the desert...

Several of those are not even out yet and indeed are coming the next few months....umm yeah. So you get to Cherry pick the dates to suit your argument??? That's not how it works. Sony also as several already announced for 2014 iunclusiding the next tales games FF x-HD collection to name a few.

Let's hope you've learned your lesson by now. If you want your gaming console to have long support, you'd better get a Sony console. None of their home consoles has had a lifecycle shorter than 10 years.

think ms made the right move gOing for one launch titles. People will keep buying cause the games are going to keep coming. Also forza is 1080p 60 fps. So any title can achieve it

Well, out of that many games there has to be way more games that he would like to play than he actually has time.  Also, he doesnt even have a ps3 supposedly, so you cant discount all the good multiplatform games out there either.  

The guys is just working himself into a ps4 purchase,t hat is all this thread is.  The dude just needs to relax and get the ps4.  If you like a console than get it, you dont need to think up reasons to dislike the other console to push yourself into buying it.

I agree Sony supports the PS3 better, later in life, however the facts remain.

MS will have supported 360 for 10 years (05 - 14) (14 being Titanfall, Fable HD and I'm sure some XBLA stuff)
Sony will have supported PS3 for 10 years (06 - 15) in 2015 you're likely to see the same support from Sony for PS3 in 2015 as 360 is in 2014, if not less going by what PS2 received in 2007.

In the end, they'll have been supported an equal amount of years.

It's still not too late to get a PS3 or WiiU :)

Lots of misinformation in this post.  The Xbox 360 hasn't been out for eight years.  It's coming up to eight years, but until the 22nd of next montth it hasn't.  Additionally, The Playstation was released September 9, 2005.  The last first party released PSX game was Gameday '05, released in August 2004.  One month away from being supported for nine years.

Also, if you enjoyed your 360 as much as you say you have, why are you just going to get rid of it because the next big thing is coming out?  I mean, that kind of sounds like you really don't care much about the games, rather the newest iteration of said brand. 

Tales of Xillia 2 also. 

As bad as Square Enix games have been this gen, the gameplay from Lightning Returns actually looks like it could win me over.  Final Fantasy 10-2 was a great game just because of how good its gameplay was.  Could be the same for Lightning Returns.  It atleast looks that way.  No knowing until the game is actually released. 

I blame Basil for posting all of that Lightning Returns information because I watched a 30 minute gameplay video.  Quitting five hours into Final Fantasy 13 I'm now giving it another chance, and I bought Final Fantasy 13-2.  The Final Fantasy fan in me is easily swayed :(.  But I'm not afraid to call out a crappy game.  That Ni No Kuni thread I made a little ways back for example.  Game is seriously overrated.
