I think the only people who hate Zelda 2 are the ones who hate it just because hating it has become really popular.

No, I hate it because I can have an opinion about a game. Simple as that. Why do people always think your'e, hypothetically speaking, always trying to get on someones bad side with their opinions. I can point out good and bad about Zelda II but I'd rather play all the others, excluding the CD-i games, over Zelda II.

Miyamoto never said that. |
I didn't say he said it sucked butt. Butt he did say something to the effect of "Bad Game" did he not. I've read that article already I'm a Zelda fan. What is the thing you're trying to prove?

In Zelda 1 spend so much money buying bombs to find secrets that was so Fun. I just dont know why you could choose between big heart and potion. Did anyone ever take the Portion?
Anyway i changed My assessment of zelda 2, Miyamoto knows best |
I think it would have been better to make the dungeons easy to find, but the dungeons would have the same difficulty level. The things like putting bombs in random places should have lead to secrets that help you out like a heart container, an item, or potion.
Ocarina of Time, Its the only one I've played though but I wasn't a fan.

I don't know "Zelda 2 sucked butt and you know it. Even Miyamoto said so." does sound like you're saying that Miamoto said the game wasn't good. He doesn't think the game is bad, just disappointing because they only did what the planned to do.
I dont know its hard to argue about it, but i liked the hidden dungeons even though you might have a point.
But for me the game was perfect and i think changing that would have changed the magic.
I mean and it was not all random, the old man told you were the dungeon was and the dungeon under the tree was easy to find.
Btw read the post again were i asked for the quote, i changed it

I see where you're coming from but would Miyamoto say that his game literally sucked butt? I don't think so. Zelda hasn't gone back to 2D in a while so inferences can also be made. Although no answer is concrete however.
Majora was annoying, but I liked too. So probably Skyward Sword.
It's Wind Waker for me.
Even with the HD remake, it's still the lesser game to the other console games. I know the NES games aren't much too look at, but they gave me a better feeling when I played them. Partly because of the challenge, partly because of the immersion. I was genuinly proud of myself when I finally after all those years completed Adventure of Link. A true accomplishment in my gaming carreer. Actually, I'd like to know how many of those in the poll voting for Zelda II actually played it. Every console Zelda gave me a feeling similar to that, but I never really cared for Wind Waker. Not even when I had completed it for the very first time back in 2003. That's why I must vote for Wind Waker.
The biggest gripe remain the dungeons. They're laughable compared to those in the other console games. Even those in the first two Zeldas. The Tower of the Gods, to me easily the best dungeon of the game, is at least two floors too short and what's accomplished in the dungeon is done better in Twilight Princess's Temple of Time. The HD remake does make me like the game more than I did though. Wind Waker a spot in my favourites-list by overtaking Spirit Tracks.
