Lifetime means "as long as the money keeps moving" for EA, so I should take this info with a grain of salt.

That being said, HAHA POOR PS4 PLAYERS YOU NO PLAYING TITANFALL HEHEHEHEHE :P

LOL....Whats funny is MS having to pay every good developer for their games to bolster their top three games.

You do realize the utter hypocricy of that statement?

Sony pays developers to feature their games on PS+ as a free monthly rental, just so people subscribe to a monthly service.  Sony does this to bolster a bullshit service that no one would subscribe to otherwise.  To you that's OK, but the it's no different than what Microsoft may or may not have done.

You assume Microsoft paid Respawn/EA for that exclusivity, but you have no clue as to whether or not that was a decision EA or Respawn made.  Your conclusion completely ignores the fact that Microsoft is giving developers servers for free.  So Respawn's online only game, Titanfall, doesn't need anything extra for PC, Xbox 360, or Xbox One.  For PS4 either Respawn, EA, or Sony would have to pony up some money for servers.  That might not be financially feasible for a new, untested IP.

It was Epic's decision to bring Gears of War to the Xbox 360 as an exclusive, not Microsoft's  Later on Microsoft may have paid to keep Gears of War exclusive, but Epic made the choice to bring Gears to the Xbox 360 just like the previous generation they brought Unreal to the PS2.

The difference is the only real developers that Sony can sway with the amount of money they have to hand out are Indie developers, and even then the majority of Indie titles they showed at E3 were timed exclusives.  So bitch and moan all you want that Microsoft has money to do things, like give away servers or secure content deals with, but had Sony not screwed up last generation they might have actually had some cash to work with without having to sell of their company assets.

wow.

Name me a benefit that makes PS+ worth it other than the free game rental.

Regardless of what spin you choose to put on this, you're in the wrong here. What you said was utter nonsense and uncalled for. Period. Besides, if you felt he was being a certain way, be the bigger man. Why derail the topic with a post that is clear flamebait?

I dont believe it was nonsense but it certainly was uncalled for yes.  Then again a lot of things on this site is uncalled for remarks(multiple in this thread alone) so you have to pick and choose which ones you will say is uncalled for.

A fair assessment.

You were right to call it out, Selnor buddy sometimes you make me laugh but that post was uncalled for!

I do agree with Selnor though, that you defend anything Sony and nothing Xbox, hey that's your choice nout wrong with that. But it's very annoying to see practically every post you make these days is a defensive stance for Sony, I don't actually know what your opinion is anymore by reading your posts.

This thread has gone to hell anyway so it doesn't matter.

Whether MSFT paid for it or not means nothing to me.  It is a business and sorry to tell you but Sony and Nintendo arent innocent when it comes to business strategies either. I will be playing it day one so it doesnt effect me.

This kind of practise affects everyone actually. MS spent the money not to create a game but to prevent Sony from having it. If they hadn't, both XB1 and PS4 owners would have this game, and MS could spend the money on creating their own game. It doesn't bother you that you could have had 2 games instead of 1?

And this goes for every company. It is bad whoever does it.

Sucks that EA did this to respawn behind their back. It doesn't affect me but TF2 better not be exclusive to the xbone. If MS/EA stop that coming out on PC I'll never buy an EA game again. I'll just wait for BF to be free every time like I did with BF3. Already stopped buying Activision games and so far I have missed nothing of importance. I'll buy Destiny though.

PS4 gamers just went from "it's coming to PS4, it's inevitable" to "I don't want it, it looks last gen". Truely entertaining

IDK man, slight is not how I would describe it. Most of the Industry Analysts I have seen are going with  Pre Order Sales Data, Trending searches, etc. And they all point ot PS4 selling at least double XBO numbers. When they have garnered a couple millions under their belt by December's end it will become obvious to the broad public which one to jump to because like the lemmings the common consumers are they will go with whats most popular. Not saying XBO numbers will be bad by any standard, just not nearly as good as PS4's. Not to mention Sony can simply sell to far more countries than MS whose strongest features will not be ready in many for a while. Japan launch early 2014 I believe and at that point PS4 will have a market that MS obviously cannot touch.  US is XBO's only fortress of solitude and its not looking like they will have that same lead.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/25/xbox-one-ps4-will-each-ship-25-to-3-million-in-2013-says-analyst

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2425191,00.asp

There is a couple of articles about the most recent analysts talking about sales of the two.  Any recent analysis points to a slight edge for one of the other.  The only reports i could find saying more than 2 to 1 for ps4 is from before the x1 was before the 180.

It doesn't matter if you can sell in more countries if you are supply constrained.  Demand for these consoles is such that their sales will be determine by supply for well into next year.  I have no doubt the ps4 will sell more in the long run, but initially it will be fairly close.

But what I am saying is Sony simply has the ability to ship more than MS at the moment. It could change but the reason MS can't has something to do with yields. Sony is releasing in more territories right off the bat, if you had MS and Sony only able to ship at the the same exponential rate, selling out each time before being replenished, Sony ends up gaining a sizable lead in no time.

Example(Hypothetical): PS4 has 25 Countries x Z # of Consoles (x4 shipments before years End)

will still forever come to more than....

XBO has 10 Countries x Z # of COnsoles (x4 shipments before years End)

With the general rule that all or most of the 10 COuntries coincide within the 25 Countries.

Greatness Awaits

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)

Yep, Titanfall exclusive :) Now this thread is awesome, watching all the PS fans going either :

- Double standard (I can remimber a lot of them saying the game is awesome and will be on Ps4 anyway, now it is "ok" and was "not" expected or needed, LAWL)
- Starting to talk about how Microsoft is evil and Sony is not (like Sony is not paying for such deals...).
- Or again talking about their precious resolution as it was the only thing who really matter (then, I wonder why they are even going for a console and not a PC if it is really the only thing that matters...)

Keep going guys, you are doing well so far...

Yea fair enough. I could have cose a few different choice words.

The problem is as you know, fans spout this game rubbish about Microsoft that they have 3 games. Or they have only shooters. So Microsoft listen, they change it and actually launch their next console wit no exclusive shooters. Yet have more exclusives at launch in more genres than Sony. And yet still get the no games line from Sony fans. Sony release Knack and Killzone. Thats it. A game getting mediocre reception in Knack and a SHOOTER. And Sony fans all of a sudden love shooters.

Its all so .......

breath.

You get what Im saying.

Titanfall exclusive to Microsoft. Good for them, but it's just a game, probably a good and fun game, probably 85-90 metacritic, but it's just a game. Xbox One will have TitanFall among others, PS4 have Killzone SF, Infamous SS, The Order 1886...

I think this game has been too much overhyped, to ridiculous levels...I want TitanFall to be a success, and if it's only on Microsoft systems...it's good for me, but i don't think it will be a game that will determine anything. FPS with robots has been done before, so it's nothing new, and after seeing BF4 and KZ SF material..., to me looks very outdated.

So, in conclusion, congratulations to Xbox fans that were hoping the game will remain exclusive..., but that's all.
