I think GO! GO! GO! ROGER! I NEEED A MEDIC!!!!

My neighbor: "Hey dude, is everything alright in there?"

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I would assume the voice commands are for single player rather than online.

I always feel like a complete twat using voice commands with kinect, especially when the woman wakes up and asks who you're talking too while playing Mass Effect 3 at 2 in the morning, although 'GPS reset' was useful in the Forza Horizon demo.

The body tracking will be awesome but the voice commands are always pain for people like me who has strong accent.

Yeah I have a bit of an accent too, but the original Kinect voice commands worked pretty well for me. I assume this will be better.

I'm interested to see how theh deal with this. Doing 1 to 1 tracking for leaning would be pretty shaky while smoothing it out would cause delay. Both of these are a huge no no in a competitive fps.

Voice commands makes sense though.

this pretty much sums up my feelings.  might sound cool on paper but i hated the six-axis based leaning features and turned them off whenever i could.  this, frankly, is worse in the way that I'd have to play with correct posture to use it.  fuck that,. when i game i look like this.

I have not played a battlefield game since bad company...do they have squad mechanics in SP? If so, maybe voice commands will make most sense in SP.

Man.. finally.. leaning in real life translate to a screen leaning... how many times haven't we tried to lean a bit in a 3D video game just to get a better view.. we have all done it..

I leaned backwards on the bed for Mario to jump further on the SNES... IT WORKED!

Thaty made me laugh so hard!  I remember those days, too. :)

We'll have to wait and try it I guess. I don't think it will be 1 to 1. It will probably be a kind of gesture based thing. That makes more sense, and based on the Kinect sports rivals videos, the new kinect seems to be pretty good with latency, so I hope it works well.

Oh and if i play games while slouching, I suck for some reason...I have to sit up and look all serious to be any good :(

At my eyes those are just gimmicks to justify kinect being there. Much probably Microsoft threw in some extra dollars for EA to put some stuff up for kinect.

Not exactly game changers. Also, the leaning feature must be much more faster and accurate if you.... you know... just press the buttons.

Voice comands are cool though, but it doesn't work like in Nintendogs were you can record the sound. It is recognized. So, to bad for those out of non-english speaking coutries (if the game supports other languages ignore this point) and even more bad to those that don't have voice recognition at all in their countries.

Only the aficionados get excited for this, like the very first kinect that nobody cared and died a quick death.

Gimmick? They are extra features using the extra hardware that the Xbox One has. If it was only leaning or something I would maybe call it a gimmick, but this uses a buch of kinect's features. Nothing gimmicky or wrong with that. Nobody said they were "game changers". They are, however, interesting additions whether you like it or not.

I know leaning would be faster if you press the button, but did I say I am interested in leaning for the speed? I said I am interested for the immersion it can add, and it being a new experience that can be pretty cool.

Finally, you do not have to be an aficionado to be excited for this. Kinect was shit on by some people because it did not work with core games. Well in this generation, we are seeing Kinect voice and motion control features in a third party launch title that is an FPS. Big change from the first kinect so far. I think that is a good thing, and third parties will probably keep doing it since they know everyone will have kinect.

Finally, I think it would be a good idea to wait and see how these features work before we pass judgement. They might suck, they might be excellent. But they are interesting, hence the thread.

Lol, I've been made fun of for doing it for a long time.  I was hoping someone would post a video of how kinect works with BF4.
