Forums - Sony - Killzone SF campaign non-linear confirmed by IGN

Campaign is Crysis-like in its approach. Most of the battles occur behind the scenes and this is not a war that is infront of the masses. I think this might just work for Killzone, being that the story has so much more to be unearthed storywise than other games. With a campaign thats just above ten hours it might just add even more hours.

His claustrophobia shouldn't be an issue, either, with those open levels.

Apparently we've been decieved. There will be places to go to help out with other parts of the story. Essentially the story is linear, but the path you take between points is really your own.

It's not Crysis-like. It sounds more like Crysis 2 or 3 (limited openness, different ways to accomplish objectives). It's just IGN wanted to paint the game in the best light so they lied.
