Forums - Gaming Discussion - Skyrim Ultra on PC with ENB was already next gen 2 years ago.

(Copy paste from my reply to Bruxel other thread because I'm too damn lazy.)

I don't know how to post images directly, if someone keen can do it for me, I'd be grateful.

Click below for epicness. My own screenshots are of course horribly compressed.

With the amount of mods available on skyrim nexus and the state of the vanilla game as it is, I don't know how people remotely enjoy the game on consoles.

Intel core i7 930 OC @ 4.0 ghz

Game does look amazing. Most of us know the next gen already started on PC though.

Yeah, I do wish that consoles support modding so that the console crowd can experience how much community contributions add to longetivity and even entertainment value of a game. The amount of content on skyrim alone is staggering.

I don't get the last three pictures. Why is it so brown? Uncharted 2 already had an extra that allowed you to enable the next-gen filter.

It was taken at sunset, I was running this particular enb which has a subtle colour filter to give that fantasy vibe

The screenshots don't really do justice how beautiful it is in game running at 1080p, not quite sure how to get high resolution screencaps.

Was running Climates of Tamriel weather overhaul mod as well.

@ bolded link (the first one): what is the minimum config a PC must have to run those at, say, at least 30 fps? I don't think mine can handle it :(

(Before someone asks, I have a notebook with I7 @ 3.4, 8 gigs, 2 gigs 7730 HD Mobile GPU).

Good for high end PC users. I'm not sure why they keep saying this though PS4 and X1 aren't even competing against the PC.

I'm afraid pemalite might quote me if I answer hardware related questions lol (<3 your rig pema). Your cpu is pretty much sorted for some cpu intensive mods but I'm afarid what you saw in bolded link is running at 1080p Ultra settings with high resolution texture mods lol. My 7950 runs that enb at ultra with varying levels of performance. In some areas mostly indoors I get a constant 60fps. Outdoors it varies from 60fps dipping down to 35-40 fps in graphically very demanding areas and weather effects.

You maybe however able to run an enb mod at 720p medium/high setting and get 50-60fps with your current set up. The first two screens from imageshack I uploaded are when I was running a HD 5850 :)
